- In this ccurricular unit the students acquire knowledge and skills in the osteopathic approach of a special population - the elderly. In this type of population, the osteopathic approach aims to maintain the flexibility of the body structure to improve the quality of life and without pain. By working on the structure of the adult body, osteopathy can aid in muscle relaxation, joint flexibility, blood flow clearance and postural balance. Osteopathic assessment and treatment will be addressed for the most common chronic pathological conditions in this type of special population.
