- In classroom work, and in the brainstorming and design phase of hotel concepts, students are allowed to use generative artificial intelligence as a support tool, provided they comply with the institution's ethical and transparency standards.
- Mandatory
- By the end of the semester, students should be able to: 1. Understand Hotel Design as a cross-cutting concept and driver of real estate and operational value creation. 2. Analyze the alignment of design dimensions (functional, perceptual, and symbolic) with the target customer profile. 3. Evaluate building conservation strategies (Cradle to Cradle, BIM) and conceptual innovation. 4. Master the "Energy Factor" in design (eco-design, passive vs. active design, building efficiency). 5. Integrate brand development, spatial narrative, and sustainability into hotel operations.
- 1. The Concept of Hotel Design and Value Creation 1.1 Value creation through architecture and interiors 1.2 Trends and Opportunities (Unique Experiences, Retail, Community) 2. The Design of the Enterprise and the Target Customer 2.1 Alignment of design dimensions with the target customer (UCD, EBD) 2.2 Adapting spaces to new trends (Biophilic Design) 2.3 The impact of social media and "Instagrammability" 3. Conservation and Conceptual Innovation 3.1 Conservation of the building (Design for maintainability) 3.2 Redefining the concept of the unit and hybridization of spaces 3.3 Design, Construction and Brand Development (Servicescape, Brand Equity) 4. The Energy Factor and Sustainability 4.1 Sustainability and Eco-design as an imperative 4.2 Passive design and active design 4.3 Energy efficiency of buildings and recycled materials 4.4 The involvement of guests in energy efficiency

- Semestral
- Hotel design is no longer a discipline restricted to the aesthetics of facades and the selection of furniture. Today, it is a hybrid field where architecture, behavioral psychology, systems engineering, operations management, and technology converge. The financial and experiential success of any hotel operation depends on the ability of the manager and designer to articulate spatial design, technical execution, and brand strategy, adapting the layout and materiality to the new demands of sustainability, energy efficiency, and the expectations of the contemporary consumer.
