Mónica Alexandra de Oliveira Dias Teixeira, concluiu o Doutoramento em Medicina Preventiva e Saúde Pública na Universidad de Léon, em 2010. Iniciou a sua atividade de docente no ensino superior em 2005, no Instituto Politécnico de Saúde do Norte. Atualmente, com a categora de Professora Coordenadora, desenvolve a sua atividade docente na Escola Superior de Saúde Ribeiro Sanches (ERISA-IPLUSO), onde acumula com o cargo de Subdiretora desde julho de 2017. Publicou 2 artigos em revistas especializadas e 17 trabalhos em actas de eventos, possui 11 capítulos de livros publicados. Participou em 2 eventos no estrangeiro e 25 em Portugal. Recebeu 2 prémios e/ou homenagens. Nas suas actividades profissionais interagiu com 18 colaboradores em co-autorias de trabalhos científicos. No seu curriculum DeGóis os termos mais frequentes na contextualização da produção científica, tecnológica e artístico-cultural são: Xylene, Occupational Risk, Biomarker, Methanol, Perception, Xileno, Air, Creatinine, Formaldeído e Method Analysis.
