Integrated member at Veterinary and Animal Research Center (CECAV), Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Lusófona University, Lisbon, Portugal. Ph.D in Veterinary Science/ Biological and Biomedical sciences (2016-2021) from Faculty of Veterinary Medicine - University of Lisbon, MSc in Food safety (2010-2012) from Faculty of Veterinary Medicine – Technical University of Lisbon and Graduated in Biotechnological Engennier (1997-2004) from Universidade Lusófona de Humanidades e Tecnologias. Her research interests focus on several aspects of antimicrobial resistance (AMR) in a One Health approach, namely the epidemiology of MDR pathogenic bacteria of clinical relevance in veterinary and human medicine, molecular epidemiology studies using metagenomic analysis and the pursuit of novel prophylactic and therapeutic alternatives to the use of antimicrobials.
