She has a Master's degree from the same University in Education Sciences with a specialisation in education, development and educational policies. She graduated in Education in the area of Mathematics and Sciences, from the School of Education of Lisbon, in 1997. She was a primary school teacher and sub-director of Basic School number 60 in Lisbon. She is currently teaching Mathematics and Natural Sciences in the 2nd cycle of basic education in Cascais and collaborates with the Escola Superior de Educação da Lusofonia, IPLUSO. Coordinator of the Live Science Club Project, at Santo António School, in Parede Group of Schools, in partnership with IPLUSO She has participated in the project The Construction of Teacher Profession in Secondary School (1947-74). Training, Paths, Identities, carried out under the scope of the Research and Development Unit: Observatory of Education Policies and Educational Contexts. She was part of the research project Educating the Global Citizen: Globalization, Educational Reform and the Politics of Equity and Inclusion in 12 Countries, with the scientific coordination of Professor António Teodoro. She is a researcher of the project "A success story? Portugal and PISA (2000-2015)". She has been a Member of the Scientific Committee of the Ibero-American Congress on Qualitative Research and of the World Conference on Qualitative Research. ****Doutorada em Educação pela Universidade Lusófona, em 2013.
