  • The teaching methodology is fundamentally theoretical-practical in nature, involving learning the fundamental laws of photography theory and the contextualisation and evolution of the history of photography. At the same time, theoretical learning is consolidated with practical exercises. This CU also promotes the public presentation of the projects developed. It is intended that the teaching methodologies contribute to achieving the objectives and the respective development of knowledge, skills     and competences through active methodologies(1) and expository methodologies(2).  The choice of active and expository methodologies aims to reinforce the learning of fundamental knowledge as a way of achieving the learning objectives of the course and the way in which it contributes to achieving the learning objectives of the study cycle itself.

  • 1. Acquire fundamental knowledge of photographic language, from history to the state of the art   2. Understand the photographic language and its importance in artistic and professional communication  3. Analyze the photographic record in terms of its properties in the development of narratives 4. Interpret the photographic process from a technical, conceptual and experimental point of view  5. Develop skills in the digital photographic process  6. Evaluate the photographic processes applied to the exercise of an artistic and professional activity in the fields of photography, audiovisual, installation and performance

  • A Classificação Final resultará de:

    • 60% - Exercícios práticos (Desenvolvimento de trabalho prático em ambiente laboratorial e no exterior como forma de aprofundar conhecimentos, desenvolver aptidões técnicas, criativas e conceptuais e consolidação de competências.Todos estes exercícios têm como principal função a criação de um portfólio )
    • 30% - Trabalhos escritos( Visionamento de filmografia, leitura e discussão de textos recomendados com produção de recensões escritas de sistematização dos conhecimentos fundamentais adquiridos e frequência de avaliação escrita.
    • 10% Avaliação Contínua, intercalar e final com critérios de assiduidade (75% de presenças), participação nos debates, pontualidade e apresentação de caderno diário da matéria dada nas aulas.


    O exame de Recurso e em Época Especial consistirá na realização e apresentação de um exercício específico com base nos conteúdos programáticos (60%) e exame escrito (40%).

    Os critérios gerais de avaliação desta UC: 
    Domínio da linguagem técnica fotográfica;
    Qualidade do trabalho técnico
    Competências de desenvolvimento de metodologias adequadas a cada projeto.
     
    Os critérios específicos de cada exercício serão explicitados em cada enunciado e de acordo com a tipologia e objetivos de cada um, podendo alterar de ano para ano.
     

     
  • Semestral
  • The curricular unit will enable students to: know the basic principles of photography; understand techniques, procedures and workflows for photographic projects; develop the ability to use photographic capture and editing devices and tools; acquire the conceptual and practical ability to express themselves through audiovisual and multimedia media; value the need to work in groups and the ability to dialog and understand different points of view.
