- In this curricular unit, the Team-based learning (TBL) methodology is used, with tasks carried out in small groups, allowing the development of the ability to analyze and apply theoretical concepts.

- Technically Provide the students with scientific knowledge on drug therapy administered in the hospital and community pharmacy. - Identifying and characterizing drug according to the drug pharmacotherapeutic classification in force; - Identify pharmacological actions, adverse reactions, interactions, precautions and dosing regimens of drugs under study; - Interpret therapeutic prescriptions.
- 1. Hospital pharmacotherapy 1.1. Infections: respiratory, urinary tract, opportunistic, HIV, hepatitis B and C, tuberculosis and endocartite. 1.2. Pharmacotherapy in sepsis 1.3. Antibiotics for surgical prophylaxis 1.4. Treatment and prevention of pressure sores and wounds 1.5. Acute and chronic renal failure 1.6. Upper gastrointestinal tract disorders 1.7. A classificação final (CF) da unidade curricular por avaliação contínua é obtida a partir das classificações obtidas na componente escrita (T) e na componente prática (PL). A componente Teórica consta de duas frequências escritas e é relativa aos conteúdos teóricos. A classificação mínima em cada frequência é de 8 valores. A componente prática consta de 2 momentos de avaliação práticos realizados durante as aulas laboratoriais, A classificação mínima de cada momento é de 8 valores. A classificação final é calculada a partir da seguinte fórmula: CF = 0,50 T + 0,50 PL. A classificação de todos os instrumentos de avaliação é expressa numa escala de 0 a 20 valores, sendo que o valor ponderado das classificações obtidas tem de ser igual ou superior a 9,5

- The teaching of Pharmacotherapy involves the development of knowledge that allows the proper use of medicines in different pathological situations. The student must be able to understand, explain and discuss the use of the most representative drugs in the treatment of various pathologies and also to understand and explain the technical and scientific principles of an effective, correct and rational therapeutic selection.
