- The teaching of this curricular unit includes: Theoretical classes (expository); Theoretical-practical classes (exercise solving); Practical classes (to help solve projects that require computational methods, in which Octave is used).

- LO1. Understand the fundamentals of the numerical methods studied as well as their framing in the engineering context; LO2. Develop in students the ability to implement the algorithms necessary for the numerical solution of problems in various areas (interpolation, integration, differentiation, non-linear equations, differential equations, systems of equations); LO3. Introduce students to the use of specific software (Octave) to solve computational mathematics problems.
- S1. Arithmetic in finite precision. Representation of integers and real numbers. Errors in floating point arithmetic. Error propagation. S2. Nonlinear equations. Bisection, false position and secant, Newton and fixed point methods. Zeros of polynomials. S3. Systems of linear equations. Gaussian elimination. Calculation of the inverse and determinant. Iterative methods. S4. Polynomial interpolation. Polynomial forms. Lagrange interpolators. Equidistant nodes. Interpolation formulas. Cubic splines. S5. Numerical differentiation and numerical integration. First and second order derivatives. Newton-Cotes rules. S6. Use of software (Octave) to solve computational mathematics problems.
O ensino desta unidade curricular inclui aulas teóricas expositivas, aulas teórico-práticas e aulas práticas (de auxílio à resolução de projectos que exijam métodos computacionais, nos quais se utiliza o Octave). Sendo uma UC cuja matéria assume um cariz orientado à aplicação, dá-se prioridade à avaliação contínua, que é feita por média ponderada entre os conhecimentos teóricos e práticos:
- Trabalhos de grupo. A classificação destes trabalhos contribui com 20% da nota final da disciplina.
- A avaliação teórica de conhecimentos é feita em dois testes de frequência contribuindo com 80% para a classificação final de frequência.Descrição

- The professional training internships, included in the Graduation in Medical Imaging and Radiotherapy, have as their main objective, to promote direct contact with the areas of professional training considered essential for the competent and up-to-date exercise of the profession of Radiology Technician, Nuclear Medicine Technician and Radiotherapy Technician. From this perspective, internships represent a professional experience for the student, properly supervised and guided, in a real work context.

- In this curricular unit, the student can carry out a set of activities through the moodle platform, in person in the classroom or online, providing the student with freedom and flexibility of environment.

- Develop and promote a learning dynamic, functional and detailed structure of the human body and the morphology of the integumentary system, locomotor (osteology, arthrology and myology) and endocrine. Know and apply the concepts and general principles of anatomy, biology and biomedicine. Understand the importance and usefulness of the terminology and nomina anatomical. Encourage observation skills of the student and give it the description technique by the use of appropriate terminology. Study the normal function of biological systems with emphasis on their homeostatic mechanisms. Identify, interpret and describe the constituent anatomical structures of the human body. Relate the form of anatomical structures with their function, including the measures for eliminating injuries and disorders associated with overuse of muscles and poor posture. Integrating the specificity of each anatomical system in the unity of the human body.

A componente teórica consta de duas frequências escritas. A classificação mínima em cada frequência é de 8 valores. A componente teórico-prática consta de 1 momento de avaliação teórico, devendo ser igual ou superior a 9,5 valores. A componente prática consta de 3 momentos de avaliação, devendo a classificação mínima em cada frequência ser igual ou superior a 9,5 valores. A classificação final é calculada a partir da seguinte fórmula: CF=0,40T+0,20TP+0,40PL. A classificação de todos os instrumentos de avaliação é expressa numa escala de 0 a 20 valores, tendo que o valor ponderado das classificações obtidas em cada componente de ser igual ou superior a 9,5 valores.

Anatomy is divided into two areas: macroscopic anatomy and microscopic anatomy. Physiology is the study of the functioning of various organ systems, that is, explains how biomolecules, such as cells, tissues, organs and organ systems. Human physiology attempts to understand the mechanical, physical and biochemical mechanisms that keep the human body alive.
