  • Students will be exposed to a practical and application-oriented approach to the concepts covered. Teaching will focus on demonstrating the functionalities of the languages, followed by practical application through representative examples and exercises. In addition, students will have the opportunity to carry out a programming project, which will contribute to the assessment.

  • LO1 - Know how to program applications of some complexity in the Java language. LO2 - Understand the differences between compiled and interpreted languages and, given a concrete situation, have the ability to choose which type of language will be most appropriate. LO3 - Analyze simple systems and propose a solution algorithm to a proposed problem, as well as understand through the code of the two languages taught the methodology used to solve a given problem.

  • A avaliação será feita através de dois testes com ponderação de 50% com componente teórica e prática, onde a parte prática se resume a um ou dois exercícios similares aos propostos da componente prática da cadeira, de um projeto de programação com ponderação de 35%, exercícios realizados durante as aulas com ponderação de 10% e trabalhos para casa com ponderação de 5%.

  • The Introduction to Programming course aims to provide students with basic programming knowledge, with a view to application in Computer Engineering and Applications. Additionally, the Java programming language is used to teach students the basic concepts of programming.   The Introduction to Programming course is fundamental in students' training, providing essential knowledge in algorithms, programming languages and Java. Throughout the course, students will explore topics that include algorithms and their complexity, programming languages and the operation of compilers, as well as the Java language, which covers variables, conditional structures, functions and interaction with the operating system, including memory and process management. These skills have broad applications and are crucial for different areas of study and future professional careers, making them a valuable basis for dealing with computer tools in different contexts.

  • Oral exposition includes lectures introducing fundamental concepts of audio for image, classroom discussions to consolidate ideas, and practical demonstrations of recording equipment and post¿production software. The active learning model combines short lectures with group-based practical activities, sound recording in indoor and outdoor environments, and studio sessions where students can independently experiment with recording, editing and mixing. It also includes group discussions for critical analysis of sound projects. In the project-based learning model, students develop assignments that simulate real-world situations, present progress updates regularly, and are assessed on project performance and on their ability to apply theoretical concepts to practical work. These methodologies encourage a practical, creative and critical approach to sound design, supporting the development of the skills required for the course unit.

  • To develop and enhance students techniques, creativity and critical thinking in the production of original sound designs for image; To provide Laboratory sessions to carry out sound design exercises and critical analysis sessions on the work developed. To understand the artistic-technical process of sound for image, from recording to audio post-production; To provide vocabulary that favors communication and articulation of ideas about the soundtrack of a multimedia project; To provide students with individual skills in outlining sound development and production strategies taking into account the artistic object to be consumed; To adopt strategies and aesthetics influenced by conceptual and procedural approaches in audio post-production.  
  •  Theory: Foundations of audio for image; Introduction to audio for image; The soundtrack; The Processes: from recording to audio post-production; Introduction to production sound recording; Production and design of cinematographic sound environments; Introduction to audio post-production: editing and mixing in Pro Tools.       Practice: Exercises carried out in group to record sound indoors and outdoors; Production and design of stereophonic soundscapes; Development of intentions through recording practices; Production, editing and sound-to-picture mixes.
  • A avaliação dos alunos será realizada através da elaboração de um exame de escolha múltipla com o objetivo de consolidar os conhecimentos teóricos adquiridos, juntamente com a elaboração de dois trabalhos práticos: o primeiro a realizar individualmente e o segundo em grupo. 
    Os fatores de ponderação dos trabalhos técnico-artísticos irão incidir em função da compreensibilidade (estética) tendo em conta a sua contribuição para o contexto discursivo/narrativo e/ou como a banda sonora (re)produz relações cognitivas entre os principais aspetos presentes no objeto artístico. Será avaliada numa percentagem a definir pela coerência do uso da voz, som ambiente, sonoplastia e/ou música consoante o projeto e media proposto. A restante percentagem será definida em função das técnicas aplicadas à estrutura (manipulação dinâmica, o uso dramático do silêncio, manipulação de som em função do tempo, mudança de timbre e espacialização) e do significado semântico (mascaramento de som, sobreposição, antecipação, split-second, mickey mousing e/ou leitmotif).
    Critérios inerentes à pontualidade, interesse, assiduidade, desenvolvimento de trabalho, atitude e participação nas sessões práticas ou teórico-práticas ao longo do semestre poderão influenciar a nota final. A ponderação inerente a cada critério será disponibilizada aos alunos juntamente com o enunciado de apresentação da disciplina.

    Para a realização do plano de estudos proposto, caso o aluno não pertença a nenhum grupo de exceção previsto no regulamento, deverá ter uma assiduidade igual ou superior a 75% do total das sessões lecionadas.
    Os alunos que não tenham cumprido ou que não tenham reunido condições para o aproveitamento à disciplina poderão fazer exame de recurso através da realização de um exame escrito de desenvolvimento e compreensão artístico-técnico do material lecionado ao longo do semestre ou a elaboração de um trabalho prático de desenho de som original que comprove as competências adquiridas.

  • Develop and foster a learning dynamic, functional and detailed of human body structure and morphology of the systems: respiratory, digestive, circulatory, genitourinary, lymphatic, and the sense organs. Transmit a full and detailed knowledge of the morphology of the organs and the human body structure. Integrate knowledge gained in the curricular units: Cell Biology, Neurophysiology and Anatomy and Physiology I. Identify, interpret and describe the constituent anatomical structures of the human body, using appropriate terminology. Relate the shape of anatomical structures to their function. Acquire a basic knowledge of special physiology and understand the articulation of different homeostatic element in the operation and regulation of certain specific bodily functions. Integrating the specificity of each anatomical system in the unity of the human body.

    A componente teórica consta de duas frequências escritas. A classificação mínima em cada frequência é de 8 valores. A componente teórico-prática consta de 1 momento de avaliação teórico, devendo ser igual ou superior a 9,5 valores. A componente prática consta de 3 momentos de avaliação, devendo a classificação mínima em cada frequência ser igual ou superior a 9,5 valores. A classificação final é calculada a partir da seguinte fórmula: CF=0,40T+0,20TP+0,40PL. A classificação de todos os instrumentos de avaliação é expressa numa escala de 0 a 20 valores, tendo que o valor ponderado das classificações obtidas em cada componente de ser igual ou superior a 9,5 valores.

It is intimately qualified with embryology, comparative anatomy, evolutionary biology and phylogeny. Human anatomy is considered one of the essential sciences of health science courses. Anatomy is divided into two areas: macroscopic anatomy and microscopic anatomy. Physiology is the study of the functioning of various organ systems, that is, explains how biomolecules, such as cells, tissues, organs and organ systems. Human physiology attempts to understand the mechanical, physical and biochemical mechanisms that keep the human body alive.

  • The sessions will be theoretical and practical and always accompanied by predominantly practical sessions, where the fundamental concepts will be presented, using, whenever possible, real-world cases where the concepts, theories and models become more evident. The aim is to encourage discussion as a way of clarifying the issues raised by the more complex concepts, through theoretical tests and practical work, with the latter supported by real-world cases developed by the students in groups, followed by debate. The following teaching methods (ME) will be used: ME1: Expository method; ME2: Interrogative method; ME3: Critical analysis and debate of practical cases. In addition, it is assumed that methodologies appropriate for distance learning will be used, such as Problem-Based Learning (PBL), which encourages the resolution of real problems, is effective, among others.
