  • The teaching methodologies for the theoretical component include exposure of content through slide projection. In the practical component, the contents will be demonstrated in a laboratory context and executed, under guidance, by the student himself. There will also be room for solving problems and issues of a theoretical and practical nature. The UC can be carried out through continuous assessment or final exam. The final classification (CF) of the UC through continuous assessment is obtained from the classifications obtained in the theoretical component (50%) and in the practical component (50%). The theoretical component is evaluated by two written frequencies (50% weighting each). The assessment of the practical component consists of 2 practical tests. The minimum grade for each assessment moment is 8 points. The weighted value of the classifications obtained at each component (teoretical and practical) and at the UC, must be at least 9.5 values.

  • Students must acquire knowledge, so they be able to identify radionuclides production methods, radiopharmaceutical chemistry and radiolabeling methods for several RF, localization mechanisms for most used RF, their characteristics and clinical applications, as well as good radiopharmacy practice guidelines and related legal documents. The student must accurately execute radiopharmacy technical procedures, namely RF preparation and QC (specific QC procedures for each RF). Student must also competently prepare adults and pediatric RF doses, using decay calculus methods and radioactivity adjustment accordingly the RF and the patient characteristics. Additionally, the student must comprehend and execute lyophilized kits fractionation, in order to adequately manage the obtained activity, trough simulation at several real scenarios.

    A componente escrita consta de duas frequências escritas e é relativa aos conteúdos teóricos. A classificação mínima em cada frequência é de 8 valores. A componente prática consta de uma frequência realizada durante as aulas. A classificação mínima na frequência prática é de 10 valores. A classificação final é calculada a partir da seguinte fórmula: CF = 0,50 T + 0,50 PL. A classificação de todos os instrumentos de avaliação é expressa numa escala de 0 a 20 valores, sendo que o valor ponderado das classificações obtidas em cada componente tem de ser igual ou superior a 9,5 valores, para efeitos de cálculo da classificação final.

  • Clinical Semiology involves obtaining relevant data on the temporal evolution of complaints and physical examination. It is the basis for understanding the sick human being. The valuation of analytical data always requires the application of its abstract value to the unrepeatable specificity of the patient concerned. The domain of semiology is very complex and time consuming and laborious, implying mastery of several components: knowledge of normal physiology and multiple disease mechanisms, mastery of data collection methods and techniques, whether clinical history or physical examination, and ability to interpret the data collected. Clinical Semiology is considered one of the essential sciences of health sciences courses.
