  • The methodologies essentially involve relationship games and verbal and non-verbal communication. Preferably, role playing techniques will be used to encourage the creation of games and to overcome inhibitions and communication problems, as well as oral expression exercises to encourage language development, as well as to demonstrate the importance of knowledge to listen.

  • The Theoretical part (T) is presented throughout the semester and is subject to individual assessment through two tests to be carried out during the semester. The Theoretical-Practical (TP) part is taught in interaction with students as they develop small group projects. Projects are presented in the format of a set of simulator files and are used for evaluation after oral group discussion. The laboratory part (L) consists of practical group work using electrical and electromechanical equipment available in the laboratory. The reports written in this part count towards the corresponding evaluation, after individual group discussion. The final classification results from the simple average of the obtained classifications: NF=(0.45*T)+(0.15*TP)+(0.40*L); It is mandatory that the final classification of each part is at least 9.5, and it is also mandatory that the minimum grade of each test is at least 8.0 val.

  • In a post-secondary cycle of studies in the area of technologies and engineering, the curricular unit assumes a very relevant role, as it allows students to acquire basic knowledge for the analysis, interpretation and correct dimensioning of automatisms in an industrial context.  The PLC Programming unit aims to introduce essential concepts and tools in the context of knowing components such as: instantaneous relays, timed relays, contactors, sensors, programmable PLCs and their applicability, coordination and limitations.  It also intends for the student to be able to choose between the different technologies with the aim of carrying out a correct analysis of the problems presented.

  • The discipline of Metrics and Performance Evaluation aims to equip students with general knowledge about the field of Digital Analysis within the context of Digital Marketing and eCommerce. Generally, the area of digital analytics is dedicated to data analysis in order to understand and identify behavioral patterns and/or trends, with the goal of improving the current and future performance of a brand, product, service, or any other activity that exists or relies on digital means to exist. This discipline therefore intends to equip students with both theoretical knowledge about Digital Analysis and its implementation, as well as applied knowledge using software such as Google Analytics, Google Looker Studio, and Google Tag Manager. By the end of the course unit, students will be able to use Google Analytics as a tool for analyzing predefined metrics, and to create and analyze reports using Google Data Studio.

  • The learning objectives of the "Operating Systems" course are to provide students with knowledge of the fundamental principles of operating systems, covering areas such as process management, memory, storage devices, and file systems. Students will develop the ability to analyze and solve problems related to the administration and configuration of operating systems, as well as to interpret system logs and optimize system performance. This course also aims to equip students with the skills to efficiently administer and monitor operating systems, apply security concepts, and adapt to different platforms and environments such as Windows, Linux, and others.
