  • This theoretical course is based on analysing images from the History of Art, the criteria for which are: artists of reference in the historical period under study, and the use of clothing in the scenes depicted and textiles in the sets. The period is also characterised by watching films and other artistic works, etc. In class, comparisons are made with the recent present, and a collective and critical debate is held. Lectures and planned study visits to art and fashion museums.

  • This UC aims to provide students with specific knowledge and skills on the History of Art by addressing its various movements in the context of Fashion Design. Upon completing this UC, students: - expanded their general culture to the fields of art and fashion history, becoming familiar with the main historical references. - understand the different ticket regimes (between creative disciplines and throughout history) - Identify, recognize and distinguish historical references in the clothing industry and realize the importance of images from the past in contemporary production. - Develop a critical and discursive thinking based on the history of art in relation to fashion design.

  • Avaliação Semestral:
    Trabalho Interdisciplinar - 40% 25/10/2026. (Pesquisa inicial da temática definida, artístas e
    representações visuais complementares.)
    Análise e recriação imagética- Caderno de Processos - 40% 14/12/2026.
    Apresentação Trabalho Interdisciplinar- 10% 11/01/2027.
    Assiduidade e Participação- 10%

    Em caso de atraso na entrega o aluno é penalizado em 2 valores. 


    Avaliação em Exame:
    1- Melhoria do trabalho Interdisciplinar: (50%) - Objetivo: Compreender a temática definida para o
    projeto, aumantando o repertórico teórico e imagético que servirá de inspiração para o projeto
    interdisciplinar.
    2- Melhoria da análise e recriação imagética/Caderno de Processos : (50%) Objetivo: Compreender o período artístico, suas
    características relevantes e relações com a imagem, desenvolvendo assim uma imagem que traga
    essas características para o contemporâneo.
    Acompanhamento dos trabalhos: serão excluídos da avaliação os trabalhos/projetos que tenham
    acompanhamento insuficiente em aula.
    Datas relevantes: as datas das entregas devem ser consultadas no Moodle da UC.

    O estatuto de estudante-trabalhador ou outros estatutos especiais, não dispensam a
    entrega/apresentação dos trabalhos nas datas propostas, aplicando-se as mesmas condições que aos
    restantes estudantes. Caso o estudante não possa comparecer na data proposta deverá haver um
    comum acordo entre estudante e professor para a entrega/apresentação em data alternativa.
