- In this curricular unit, the Team-based learning (TBL) methodology is used, with tasks carried out in small groups, allowing the development of the ability to analyze and apply theoretical concepts.

- 1. Acquire knowledge in the Bioethical field, namely its history, main concepts and theories, values, principles, and norms that justify human acts. 2. Reflect on the ethical dimension of health care, from a pluralistic perspective, especially applied to nursing care throughout the life cycle. 3. Develop reflexive thinking, ethical analysis, and critical judgment on emerging and persistent topics of Bioethics when applied to healthcare scenarios. 4. Acquire knowledge for ethical decision-making in particularly complex contexts of nursing practice. 5. Identify the main legal documents related to health care and frame nursing practice according to it values, the nursing code of ethics, and legislation. 6. Understand the bioethical content of the Goals of Sustainable Development (Agenda 2030) and their relationship with the Universal Declaration of Bioethics and Human Rights UNESCO.

- In practical classes, the student has prior access to the experimental protocols to be carried out in each class session, which allows for prior reading and preparation. These protocols are accompanied by a set of questions, in order to ensure individual preparation and, subsequently, the discussion of procedures and results.

- This curricular unit integrates knowledge covered in Anatomy of disciplines, Histology, Physiology, Biochemistry and Immunology and aims to provide in-depth knowledge of blood tissue, including blood-forming organs and hematopoiesis process as well as morphological, structural and functional aspects of different types of cells blood and its hematopoietic precursors. They will also be developed theoretical concepts and methodologies from the scope of hemostasis. Students must develop skills to obtain blood samples with quality, know the different techniques used in routine hematology laboratory and interpretation with critical spirit cytograms and histograms.

2º Teste Prático dd-mm-yyyy 25% A classificação final (CF) da unidade curricular por avaliação contínua é obtida a partir das classificações obtidas na componente escrita (T) e na componente prática (PL). A componente escrita consta de duas frequências escritas e é relativa aos conteúdos teóricos. A classificação mínima em cada frequência é de 8 valores. A componente prática consta de 2 momentos de avaliação práticos realizados durante as aulas. A classificação mínima em cada frequência prática é de 8 valores. A classificação final é calculada a partir da seguinte fórmula: CF = 0,50 T + 0,50 PL. A classificação de todos os instrumentos de avaliação é expressa numa escala de 0 a 20 valores, sendo que o valor ponderado das classificações obtidas em cada componente, tem de ser igual ou superior a 9,5 valores.

- The curricular unit of Hematology Laboratory techniques is based on an integrated and functional view of the sciences and technologies applied to diagnosis. It aims to endow the students with skills that enable them, within a multidisciplinary team, to contribute to the best quality of care delivery. Its main objectives are to promote the acquisition of new knowledge and laboratory methodologies applied to Hematology and to address the integrated laboratory areas, in a multidisciplinary, cross-sectional and integrative perspective, as a contribution to the correct prognostic and predictive assessment of the disease, as well as the response to therapy.
