  • O1 - Recognise and understand the constitutive and constructive elements of architecture, distinguishing constitutive and constructive matter. O2 - Develop skills in observing, analysing, interpreting and representing existing buildings, identifying functional organisation, served and servant spaces, structure, infrastructure, matter and construction systems. O3 - Understand the tectonic dimension of architecture, relating formal intention, structural logic and materiality, and communicate these readings rigorously through graphic, three-dimensional and technical means.

  • P1 - Tectonic architecture: formal intention, structural logic and materiality. P2 - Constitutive and constructive matter: stone, brick, steel, concrete and timber. P3 - Building analysis: functional organisation, served and servant spaces, flows, structure, infrastructure and matter. P4 - Constitutive and constructive elements: floors, walls, roofs, openings, joints and stereotomy. P5 - Representation: technical drawing, diagrams, models, axonometric section and detailing. P6 - Technical vocabulary of construction.

  • A avaliação contínua organiza-se em três momentos cumulativos: AV.01, trabalho de grupo, 20%; AV.02, trabalho de grupo e individual, 40%; AV.03, trabalho individual, 40%. Em cada momento são avaliadas a qualidade da análise (50%), a representação (40%) e a participação e assiduidade (10%). As entregas e elementos exigidos em cada fase são definidos no Enunciado Digital Extenso. A avaliação rege-se pelo Regulamento Geral de Avaliação do ISMAT e pelas normas específicas da UC. 

    AV.01 - Exercício 1

    Trabalho: 100% grupo

    Análise integrada do caso de estudo, considerando edifício e unidade habitacional: organização funcional, distribuição, espaços servidos e servidores, estrutura, infraestrutura e matéria construtiva e constitutiva. O trabalho é desenvolvido através de plantas, cortes, diagramas, mapa de acabamentos, esquissos e maquete estrutural, de acordo com as escalas e formatos definidos no Enunciado Digital Extenso. 

    AV.02 - Exercício 2

    Ponderação: 40%
    Trabalho: 60% grupo + 40% individual

    Aprofundamento dos elementos constitutivos e construtivos do caso de estudo. Inclui maquete parcial construtiva e constitutiva e compilação de catálogos técnicos dos materiais, desenvolvidas em grupo; corte axonométrico isométrico individual; e primeira parte da compilação individual de terminologia técnica. A AV.01 deverá ser revista e integrada na apresentação. 

    AV.03 - Exercício 3

    Ponderação: 40%
    Trabalho: 100% individual

    Aprofundamento individual do elemento e do detalhe construtivo, através do mapa de vãos, representação dos detalhes construtivos e segunda parte da compilação de terminologia técnica. A avaliação corresponde à apresentação integrada das três fases do trabalho, incorporando as revisões resultantes das avaliações anteriores.

  • Constructions 01 - Tectonic Architecture introduces architecture as a built reality, focusing on constitutive and constructive elements and the relationships between matter, technique and space. Through analytical redrawing of case studies, students examine spatial organisation, structure, infrastructure, materiality and construction systems. The work develops through successive scales of approximation, using technical drawing, diagrams and physical models. The Extended Digital Brief in PDF format is an integral part of this FUC.
