  • The course "Business Project" aims to develop entrepreneurial competencies through the design, structuring, and defense of a viable business plan. The course promotes the ability to identify market opportunities, structure coherent business models, and analyze their strategic and economic-financial viability. Throughout the semester, students develop an applied project integrating strategic and financial components, culminating in a presentation and defense before a jury.

  • The teaching methodology includes the expository method (TM1) to present the contents, the demonstrative method (TM2) to illustrate its application to practical cases and the active method (TM3) to solve classroom exercises, with and without the use of a computer. The assessment is made by continuous assessment or written exam. The continuous assessment consists of one group work.

  • The ability to develop decision support systems is highly valued in the job market because it helps organizations make more informed and effective decisions, optimizing processes and resources, reducing risks, and creating competitive advantages. This makes professionals with these skills essential in an increasingly data-driven world. In this course, we cover the fundamentals and explore the capabilities of Python for acquiring, organizing, manipulating, visualizing, and analyzing data. The emphasis is on acquiring and integrating data from various sources, preparing data for analysis, creating informative visualizations, and conducting statistical analyses to describe situations, investigate associations, identify patterns, and develop predictive models.

  • A computer engineer who doesn't understand enterprise architecture knows how to build components (functions, modules, isolated systems), but doesn't necessarily know where those components fit, why they exist, or what happens when the organization changes and the components have to change with it. ASE provides three capabilities that the typical technical curriculum does not cover. First, the ability to contextualize technical decisions: understanding that choosing between a monolith and microservices is not a matter of technological preference. Second, the ability to communicate with non-technical stakeholders: enterprise architects, managers, and decision-makers speak the language of processes, capabilities, and value. Third, the ability to think about second-order consequences: anticipating how a change in a system affects data, processes, and infrastructure that no one has explicitly mapped out.

  • The aim is to develop a historical and reflective vision that allows current knowledge of psychology to be situated in the broader history of ideas, promoting skills of analysis, debate and problematization that are fundamental to academic and professional training in psychology.   • A avaliação rege-se pelo Regulamento de Avaliação de Conhecimentos do ISMAT.

     

    A avaliação contínua contempla três momentos:

    1) a realização de um trabalho em grupo (30%): entrega de trabalho escrito (submetido no Moodle impreterivelmente até à data limite definida) e posterior apresentação em sala de aula O trabalho de grupo deve seguir as normas da APA. O trabalho é avaliado em grelha própria onde se definem os critérios de avaliação, previamente conhecida pelos alunos.

    2) a realização de um teste escrito (50%)

    3) assiduidade e participação ativa nas aulas (20%).

     

    A aprovação na UC implica a obtenção de classificação final mínima de 10 valores.

    Regras de conduta em provas escritas:

    - não será permitida a entrada de nenhum/a estudante na sala quando estejam decorridos 30 minutos após o início da prova;

    - não será autorizada a saída de estudantes da sala de prova antes de transcorridos 30 minutos do seu início (em situações específicas, a critério do(a) docente responsável, poderá ser solicitado que o(a) estudante permaneça em sala até o término do tempo previsto para a avaliação);

    - durante a realização da prova, os(as) estudantes deverão manter absoluto silêncio; qualquer forma de comunicação entre estudantes — seja verbal, escrita, gestual ou por qualquer outro meio não verbal — será considerada infração grave, resultando na anulação da prova dos(as) envolvidos(as);

    - todos os/as estudantes devem entregar as folhas de prova (i.e., enunciado e folha de resposta) e rascunho (quando permitido) ao término do tempo estipulado, mesmo que estejam em branco, e assinar a folha de presenças;

    - os seguintes objetos são estritamente proibidos durante a realização da prova e, caso o/a estudante seja encontrado/a na posse de qualquer um deles, estará sujeito/a à anulação da prova: dispositivos eletrónicos (telemóveis, smartwatches, fones de ouvido, tablets ou qualquer outro dispositivo eletrónico), materiais de consulta não autorizados (livros, cadernos, folhas soltas, anotações ou qualquer material de apoio não permitido previamente), bolsas, mochilas e objetos pessoai (estes devem ser deixados junto do vigilante da prova e não podem ser mantidos junto ao/à estudante durante a prova), dispositivos de comunicação (qualquer equipamento que possibilite a comunicação com terceiros ou o acesso a informações externas); 

    - alunos com estatutos especiais serão avaliados com as devidas adaptações, de acordo com o respetivo regulamento e outros documentos pertinentes (ex: relatório de NEE).

  • The History of Psychology course aims to introduce students to the main conceptual, philosophical and scientific milestones that contributed to the establishment of psychology as an autonomous discipline. Starting from its roots in philosophy and the natural sciences, the emergence of scientific psychology at the end of the 19th century is explored, as well as the evolution of the different currents and schools of thought. Throughout this course, students are encouraged to critically understand psychological methods and theories and their practical applications in various fields.

Human and physical elements are directly related and interact in the process of spatial organization. Human Geography deals with themes related to demography, cartography, ethno-social composition, globalisation, economic and political dimensions that determine the organisation of geographical space and the implementation of societies in it according to a particular configuration, transport networks, and other networks that involve space and Man in a dialectical / complementary relationship.
