- The objectives of the curricular unit are: O1. To learn the fundamental concepts of economy; O2. Explain how these concepts can be applied to a set of economic problems, particularly regarding individual economic decision making and the functioning of some markets; O3. Develop the perception of the usefulness of economic models in the understanding the economy. At the end of the unit students are faced with situations and problems of economic nature and they should be able to: C1. Develop a structured thought appropriate to the presented situation.

A avaliação curricular será concretizada através de um teste escrito (40%) e um trabalho de grupo prático com apresentaçãoem aula (60%).
A avaliação final será realizada com recurso a um exame individual escrito (100%).

- The teaching methodologies are based on expository, interrogative and active methods in order to generate discussion and resolution of theoretical and practical exercises in the classroom. Project and problem-based learning, case studies and seminars and discussions will also be used.

- The objectives of the course are as follows: - To enable students to acquire computer knowledge (hardware and software) from a managerial and user perspective. - To provide students with the fundamental knowledge and skills necessary for the correct use of computer technologies in the context of their personal and professional activities. - Provide students with the possibility of using virtual learning environments. - Introduce the fundamentals of cloud computing. - Introduce the main tools available on cloud computing platforms. At the end of the course unit students should be able to: - Apply the techniques and select the most appropriate computer applications for each situation; - Use synchronous and asynchronous communication tools; - Use a cloud computing platform. - Develop and insert content into collaborative computing and learning platforms.

- Innovative methodologies will be adopted in the teaching-learning process, aimed at promoting active, collaborative learning geared towards solving real problems. Among the methodologies to be used, the following stand out: Problem-Based Learning; Gamification; Flipped Classroom; Design Thinking; Case Studies. Real-life case studies will also be used, allowing students to explore authentic business scenarios and develop problem-solving skills. Students will also be encouraged to write a final paper, which will challenge them to explore a relevant topic in depth, applying theoretical knowledge in practice and developing research and critical analysis skills.

- The UC Business and Sales Techniques in an International Context develops skills in market analysis, sales planning and implementation in a global environment. It addresses internationalisation strategies, competition analysis and sales processes adapted to different cultures, combining theory and practice to prepare students for the challenges of globalisation and careers in international companies.
