  • The general objective is to provide students with solid knowledge on the fundamentals of accounting and finance, with a particular focus on management accounting. At the end of the course, students should have acquired the knowledge and language framework that allows them to:  i) Understand the fundamental accounting concepts;  ii) Use the basic instruments to extract information from the annual financial statements, and assess the economic and financial situation of the company and investment projects;  iii) Use management accounting information in decision making.

  • Information system security is becoming an increasingly relevant issue for everyone. Today, concepts such as vulnerabilities, privacy, cybercrime, and even hackers are widely understood. Security is a concern for everyone, both individually and collectively. This concern is so significant that cybersecurity and data protection regulations have become a key component in technical decisions and the implementation of measures. In this course unit, we will address various concepts in cybersecurity, vulnerabilities, methods of carrying out attacks, as well as prevention and risk assessment. It is essential that any computer science program include a course on security; every computer engineer must understand not only security mechanisms but also their applicability and mandatory nature in the development of systems, software, and information architectures.

  • A avaliação  é contínua, em tempo real de aula, com três momentos principais ao longo do semestre, cujas datas serão anunciadas de acordo com  desenvolvimento dos trababalho/s. 

    A avaliação final  será uma sintese do trabalho desenvolvido. Em  cada momento de avaliação serão apresentados oralmente os trabalhos para a turma. Haverá um trabalho de fundo, complementado pelos trabalhos complementares.  É obrigatória um assiduidade de 75%. Para os alunos com estatuto de trabalhador estudante é obrigatória a presença nos momentos de avaliação, assim como mostrar o trabalho  pelo menos 3 vezes antes de cada momento de avaliação.

    No final será apresentado um portfólio com todo o treabalho do semestre, que será também enviado virtualmente.

    Trabalho de fundo : 75% da nota final.

    Trabalhos intercalares: 15% da nota final.

    Participação nba aula : 10% da nota final
