- The objectives of the curricular unit are: O1. To familiarize students with the techniques and strategies most used in maintenance management. O2. To present the basic concepts related to the management of maintenance; O3. Presenting the basics of reliability to support the maintenance methods; O4. Present the concepts related to the maintenance policies O5. Transmitting knowledge concerning the planning of maintenance work; At the end of the curricular unit students should be able to: C1. Discuss the basic concepts related to the management of maintenance; C2. Apply knowledge of the planning of maintenance work; C3. Define the maintenance policy more appropriate to a particular organizational reality.

A avaliação contínua é composta pela realização de um exercício de avaliação direcionado para a componente teórica (50%) da unidade curricular e por um trabalho prático (50%). Aos estudantes que não obtiverem aprovação, ou não se tenham submetido, à avaliação contínua, são sujeitos à avaliação final concretizada através de exame (100%).

- In the Curricular Unit "Chemistry I" some innovative metholologies will be used, namely the "reversed/inverted class" - the students carry out a previous research aabout the concepts to be learned before they are developed by the lecturer/teacher (i.e. Acid-Base Reaction). Latter, a small discussion about the theme with tha lacturer will take place. Another innovative methodology to be applied is the "Project-Based Learning" , where the students propose themselves a reaction to carry out in the Laboratory classes to apply the knowledge acquired during the Theoretical and Practical classes (i.e. "Acid-Base" titration).

- The classes will address the concepts of the different themes and, later, show their practical application, with a series of exercises inside and outside the classroom, inducing the active and autonomous participation of students. For this purpose, the use of the expository method is foreseen to introduce the concepts and structure the reasoning and the interrogative method for the learning evaluation, in the theoretical aspect of each chapter. With regard to the practical aspect, the use of the demonstrative method is foreseen for the practical illustration of the contents, as well as active, participatory and autonomous methods to make the connection with the experience of each one. In summary: (1) Expository and Interrogative Methodology - participatory teaching, resorting whenever necessary to Motivation strategies and to (2) Active Pedagogical Methodologies such as Flipped Classroom, Gamification and Problem/Project Based Learning.

Understand the fundamental concepts of graphs, functions, limits, continuity of functions and their applications; C4. Use mathematical language in the development of calculation techniques; C5. - The Quantitative Methods course plays a fundamental role in the areas of Science, Technology, Economics and Management, as is the case of the CTeSP Logistics. Its main objective is to provide students with a solid foundation in essential mathematical concepts, preparing them for more advanced subjects. The course presents theoretical and practical tools that are essential for modeling and solving problems in different areas of knowledge. Students are expected to develop structured logical-mathematical reasoning, which will allow them to interpret, formulate and solve problems, creating a knowledge base that can be applied in subsequent subjects. The course encourages students' critical and analytical thinking with practical applications in order to contribute positively to their academic and professional future.
