- The teaching (1) methodologies are based on the expository, interrogative and (2) active method in order to generate a discussion and resolution of the theoretical and practical exercises in the classroom.

- The objectives of the curricular unit are: O1. Familiarize students with methods of solving problems using operational research; O2. Present the techniques most relevant operational research; O3. Formulating linear programming problems; O4. Understand and apply the simplex algorithm; O5. Know and apply the theory of duality; O6. Conduct post-optimization and sensitivity analysis; O7. Develop logical reasoning and the ability to structure complex management models; O8. Develop decision models using spreadsheets. At the end of the curricular unit students should be able to: C1. Develop formulations for linear programming; C2. Identify problems that can be modeled by networks. C3. Draw the network representative of a project and debugging the same

A avaliação contínua é composta pela realização de uos exercícios de avaliação direcionado para a componente teórica da unidade curricular e por um exercício prático desenvolvido no período de aulas, em grudpo. Cada um dos elementos de avaliação tem a seguinte ponderação: 1º exercício teórico 30%, 2º exercício teórico 40%e trabalho de grupo 30%. A avaliação final é orientada pelos mesmos objetivos e baseia-se num exame (100%) integrando a componente teórica e a componente prática da unidade curricular.

- The Dynamic Anatomy and Physiology course covers a detailed analysis of the organic and vital systems of the human body, allowing students to understand how each of these systems interacts and influences each other. This course is particularly relevant within the Occupational Safety Engineering degree program, as it provides the theoretical and practical tools necessary for students to understand the impact of work activities on the human body.
