- The objectives of the curricular unit are: O1. Provide students with the fundamental concepts involved in the management of stocks in companies; O2. Characterize the curve ABC for materials; O3. Defining policies for stock management; O4. Present the most used systems in control of stocks; O5. Present the techniques associated with stock management, economic order quantities for steady demand and demand variable, the variables associated with a system of inventory management; O6. Characterize the buying process. At the end of the curricular unit students should be able to: C1. Solve problems related to the management of stocks by applying the knowledge gained throughout the semester; C2. Present alternatives for the management of stocks; C3. Discuss alternatives for carrying out procurement of goods and services.

Avaliação curricular (contínua):
A avaliação curricular é composta pela realização de um trabalho de grupo e um teste, em que são aplicados os principais conteúdos programáticos.
Fórmula de cálculo:

- Teste – 50%
Todos os estudantes que neste regime de avaliação tenham obtido média inferior a 9,50 valores são avaliados em avaliação final.
Avaliação final:
Nas épocas normal, de recurso e especial a avaliação será orientada pelos mesmos objetivos e baseia-se num exame (100%) integrando a componente teórica e a componente prática da unidade curricular.- Semestral

- O1. learning the distinctive characteristics of the main groups of microorganisms; O2. understanding the basic concepts of nutrition, growth, and metabolism of microorganisms; O3. understanding the origin and typology of microorganisms present in soil, air, and water; O4. Perceiving risks and ways of preventing and controlling microbiological contamination (in general and work contexts). Skills: O5. Recognizing microbial diversity; O6. Knowing aspects of the interaction of microorganisms with the environment and humans, in order to understand their role in the environmental and health/disease domains; O7. acquire more specific knowledge about activities and risks associated with microorganisms, and ways of preventing and controlling microbiological contamination, enabling them to interpret hygiene and safety rules in the future; O8. interpret studies that provide scientific evidence on factors involved in the emergence of microbial diseases in humans.

- The course begins with an introduction to commercial law and its general concepts, followed by the characterization of commercial law as a distinct branch. It then examines the notions of business and commercial establishment, as well as the obligations of traders. Particular attention is given to commercial companies, including the different types of companies and the characteristics and specificities of each type. The course also addresses negotiable instruments and the legal framework of e-commerce. Furthermore, it explores the legal regime of competition and abusive practices in trade, concluding with the study of commercial contracting.
