- Presentation of exercises by the instructor, with demonstrations of examples and specific methodologies for writing and exploratory drawing to define a visual narrative sequence.

- The general objective of this course is to introduce and develop specific writing techniques for visual narratives (comics and illustrated books) and pre-visualization of these narratives through storyboards/thumbnails. Sequential visual narratives are considered here through relevant pre-production processes that apply to both artistic and commercial projects across various narrative genres. The specific objectives are: - Understand the different text formats used in the pre-production of visual narratives (logline, outline, synopsis/treatment, script); - Introduce the technical principles of story writing through the script format; - Understand the specific principles of visual storytelling for effective communication through text; - Introduce the concept and practice of thumbnailing and storyboarding; - Understand the specific vocabulary of illustrated albums and comics for application in visual storytelling exercises/projects.
- SCRIPT WRITING AND PRODUCTION - Develop logline, outline, and synopsis; - Introduction to the vocabulary of comic art for script writing; - Understanding conflict, plot, structure, exposition, and subtext; - Basics of writing a scene (character creation, settings, and dialogue); - Script production within a specific narrative genre. STORYBOARDING/THUMBNAILING - Understanding formats for print and screen; - Understanding layout, framing, depth of field, point of view, visual continuity, the 180-degree rule, speech balloons and captions, onomatopoeia, kinetic signs, emanata (signs), character design; - Production of storyboard/thumbnails for sequential visual narrative.
A avaliação é contínua com acompanhamento tutorial e sessões críticas sobre o trabalho de modo a que os estudantes tenham uma noção qualitativa da sua avaliação em permanência.

10% Avaliação Contínua: participação, assiduidade e presença (75%) cujo incumprimento obriga a exame.
O exame de recurso é constituído pela apresentação de todos os exercícios do semestre terminados de acordo com as indicações dos docentes realizadas nas avaliações anteriores.

- The students will be working on projects related to real-life leadership and negotiation situations, providing them with a more profound and contextualised learning experience. Group work involves a simulation/role-playing: allowing the students to experience real-life negotiation scenarios, and assisting them in understanding the dynamics and strategies involved. Peer-to-peer learning: encouraging discussions and assignments where students can learn from one another, sharing experiences and diverse perspectives. Reflection sessions: Following simulations and role-playing activities, there are moments of reflection where students can discuss what worked, what didn?t, and how they can improve. Problem-based learning: presenting students with genuine negotiation and leadership challenges so they can propose solutions, applying theories and techniques learnt in the curriculum unit.

- The curricular unit of leadership and negotiation techniques is part of the course of Administrative Management of Human Resources. It aims to provide the students with knowledge on how leadership becomes relevant to the management of companies and the role of the area of human resources in the management of this factor of leadership and its impact on the success and sustainability of organizations. This unit also covers concepts and techniques of negotiation that are crucial for the area of human resources. Along with these principles of leadership and negotiation, it also intends to stimulate the thinking capacity in this area.

- It is proposed a teaching-learning program that goes from more theoretical classes of exposition of contents to practical classes with exercises on research in sources of information and presentation and discussion of individual practical works.

- Explain the concept of culture and heritage in its various forms. Provide examples of tangible and intangible heritage. Indicate forms of knowledge and preservation of heritage. Explain the importance of UNESCO in the conservation and dissemination of heritage. Explain the importance of culture in the economy. Explain the importance of culture in the construction of identity. Distinguish legitimate sources of information and their importance to scientific work. Acquire skills in research in bibliographic resources in the most diverse sources of information (library catalogs, archives, scientific databases and digital libraries).
