- The objectives of the curricular unit are: O1. Provide students with the fundamental concepts involved in the management of stocks in companies; O2. Characterize the curve ABC for materials; O3. Defining policies for stock management; O4. Present the most used systems in control of stocks; O5. Present the techniques associated with stock management, economic order quantities for steady demand and demand variable, the variables associated with a system of inventory management; O6. Characterize the buying process. At the end of the curricular unit students should be able to: C1. Solve problems related to the management of stocks by applying the knowledge gained throughout the semester; C2. Present alternatives for the management of stocks; C3. Discuss alternatives for carrying out procurement of goods and services.

Avaliação curricular (contínua):
A avaliação curricular é composta pela realização de um trabalho de grupo e um teste, em que são aplicados os principais conteúdos programáticos.
Fórmula de cálculo:

Todos os estudantes que neste regime de avaliação tenham obtido média inferior a 9,50 valores são avaliados em avaliação final.
Avaliação final:
Nas épocas normal, de recurso e especial a avaliação será orientada pelos mesmos objetivos e baseia-se num exame (100%) integrando a componente teórica e a componente prática da unidade curricular.- Semestral

A avaliação em regime curricular é composta pela realização de um exercício de avaliação direcionado para a componente teórica da unidade curricular e por três exercícios práticos desenvolvidos no período de aulas, sendo pelo menos dois deles realizados individualmente. Cada um dos elementos de avaliação tem a seguinte ponderação: exercício teórico 30%, exercícios práticos 70%.
A avaliação em regime final é orientada pelos mesmos objetivos e baseia-se num exame (100%) integrando a componente teórica e a componente prática da unidade curricular.

- In person: Academic activities will be developed according to the problem/project-based learning methodology (Project Based Learning) complemented by the Flipped Classroom methodology.To achieve the objectives, a network laboratory (Cisco) and network simulator software (Packet Tracer) will be made available to students.
