A classificação final (CF) da unidade curricular por avaliação contínua é obtida a partir das classificações obtidas na componente escrita (T) e na componente prática (PL). A componente Teórica consta de duas frequências escritas e é relativa aos conteúdos teóricos. A classificação mínima em cada frequência é de 8 valores. A componente prática consta de 2 momentos de avaliação práticos realizados durante as aulas laboratoriais, A classificação mínima de cada momento é de 8 valores. A classificação final é calculada a partir da seguinte fórmula: CF = 0,50 T + 0,50 PL. A classificação de todos os instrumentos de avaliação é expressa numa escala de 0 a 20 valores, sendo que o valor ponderado das classificações obtidas tem de ser igual ou superior a 9,5

- In the curricular unit of Microbiology are introduced the knowledge of biology and genetics of bacterial cell, taxonomy and microbial diversity as a result of changes in mechanisms and transferring genetic material. Fundamental knowledge of the mechanisms of action of some antibiotics and bacterial resistance mechanisms are transmitted. . The practical component complements the theoretical and the student will acquire the basic skills in safety standards and techniques m ore common Microbiology. Promotion of autonomy and accountability for laboratory tasks are important for development of critical analysis and ability to communicate information to peers.

- Theoretical-practical classes adopting active methods: discussion, analysis of issues, and project-based learning methodology. Classes will seek to encourage student involvement and active participation to facilitate the acquisition of practical knowledge. This methodology will also allow students to experience the teaching-learning process and the educational content and materials developed through individual and collaborative work. The assessment covers not only products but also processes, encouraging self-assessment, such as the process of self-regulation of teaching and learning.

- Understand the importance of this area in students' teaching and learning through reflective reading of the guiding documents. Analyse the integration of Environmental Studies into the curriculum of the 1st Cycle of Basic Education; Organise knowledge through the acquisition of skills that lead to the assimilated construction of knowledge related to the concepts and methods of various scientific disciplines integrated into Environmental Studies. Critically and comparatively examine various methodological approaches to Environmental Studies; Design plans taking into account current perspectives in the field of teaching research; Develop a critical spirit toward the proposals presented. Design, organise and coordinate projects that promote integration with other areas of knowledge in an integrated and participatory manner, mobilising skills, attitudes and values; Develop autonomy and the ability to work collaboratively with a view to continuous training.

- This CU aims at learning and practice of laboratory analytical techniques for analysis of water, including the limits for contaminants in drinking water, and their regulatory compliance and consumer information on labelling. Acquire skills in instrumental techniques for chemical, physical and microbiological current laboratory analysis of water. Skills to be acquired by the student: Master concepts related to the study of the most important parameters in the physical-chemical and microbiological analysis of water. Evaluate and interpret the results according to the law and/or regulations in force and understand the implications of the results for public health. Be equipped with the technical knowledge necessary for the development of laboratory work on assessment and control quality of water for various consumption types including biomedical sciences (e.g. dialysis).

- This unit aims to address the concepts related to the study of the most relevant parameters in the chemical and microbiological analysis of water. Students will acquire the technical knowledge necessary to develop laboratory work to evaluate and control the chemical and microbial quality of water. They will also be able to assess and interpret the results against the current law and understand the importance of the analysis of water in the scope of Public Health.
