  • The students that successfully finish this curricular unit will be able to: OA1. Know, understand and use fundamental algorithms and data structures; OA2: Analyze e design recursive algorithms; OA3. Analyze the correctness, complexity and performance of simple algorithms; OA4. Make a reasoned choice of the best suited data structures to each problem and apply them to its resolution; OA5. Design linked data structures and algorithms for it's manipulation  
  • CP1: Complexity, classes, typical functions and algorithm analisys; CP2: Complexity and recursivity (set of recursive problems); CP3: Sorting and selection algorithms; CP4: Sorting algorithms: Insertion Sort, Selection Sort, Merge Sort and Quicksort; CP5: Compare the complexity of sorting algorithms (Quicksort programming); CP6: Abstract data types: Stack and Queue; CP7: Circular arrays, simple lists and linked lists; CP8: Implementing Queue and List (programming using arrays and lists); CP9: Using Dictionaries and Sets; CP10: Binary Trees; CP11: Progrmming binary trees; CP12: Basic notions of graphs.

    A avaliação final baseia-se numa componente prática, baseada em trabalhos práticos, e, e numa componente teórica baseada em 2 testes escritos com nota mínima de 7 valores em cada teste. A componente prática terá um peso de 50% e a componente teórica terá um peso de 50%, na nota final. A nota mínima de ambas as componentes será de 7 valores.

     

    Os alunos poderão ainda ser avaliados por exame de recurso, este valerá 100% da nota final.

  • Many programming projects involve solving complex computational problems, for which simplistic or naive solutions may not be efficient enough. The focus of this course is on how to design good algorithms, and how to analyze their correctness and efficiency. This is among the most basic aspects of good programming which has progressively become a major concern. This is therefore a particularly relevant CU for the the studies’ cycle.

  • The methodologies favor collaborative and cooperative teaching, through group work, reasoned criticism and reflective intervention and debate, while contributing to the consolidation of knowledge and its mobilization. We will therefore emphasize forms of work that include relevant bibliographical research and its critical analysis. In group work, students are led to reflect on the new knowledge acquired and decide on future actions to undertake, actively contributing to the development of a wide range of instrumental, interpersonal and systemic skills.

  • -Emphasize the themes of Knowledge of the World and Environmental Studies in official documents. - Valuing the role that History and Geography of Portugal plays in children's intellectual, aesthetic and socio-moral development, as well as in safety, identity building, citizenship education, knowledge of the environment and respect for heritage - Relate the area of “Knowledge of the World” to the different content areas in early childhood education - Understand the role of History and Geography of Portugal in the area of Knowledge of the World and Environmental Studies - To know and use methods, techniques and instruments appropriate to the construction of knowledge in the field of Social Sciences - Develop scientific attitudes by creating habits of research, selection, organization and processing of information, as well as rigor and objectivity in language; - Propose activities that are pedagogically appropriate to the pre-school and 1st cycle context.
  • Knowledge of the World and Environmental Studies in the child's education 1. The area of Knowledge of the World in the Curriculum Guidelines for Pre-School Education 2. the area of environmental studies in the Essential Learning of the 1st cycle 3. The importance of social sciences in childhood: the construction of identity, education for citizenship. 4. The notion of time in children   Discovering the social, physical and natural world 1. The role of the educator/teacher as a mediator in learning about the world 2 . Learning history and geography in childhood Working methodologies and the use of resources. 1. The physical and social environment as a resource: preparing and planning field trips. 2. Knowledge and appreciation of local heritage

  • This CU is fundamental for preparing the future teacher for the area of Knowledge of the Environment (Pre-school), and for the Study of the Environment (1st Cycle). Knowledge of the child's surroundings is important for their safety, for building citizenship and respect for heritage. Knowledge of the child's family background is fundamental for building and developing a sense of time.

  • The main skills to be acquired are: the ability to communicate in writing and orally fluently, clearly and appropriately in English in a professional context; the ability to participate in meetings, make presentations and speak on the phone, in a clear and well-structured way, using vocabulary and linguistic strategies appropriate to the situations and problems faced; the ability to prepare, analyse and discuss written documents.

Organizational/hierarchical structure of companies: positions /responsibilities, departments, labour relations, leading and motivating. 3.   • The teaching methdology is the communicative approach. The objective is to integrate the specific skills of written and oral comprehension, speaking and writing in order to provide students with the possibility of developing and consolidating their use of English in the several topics proposed. The students will also have the opportunity to consolidate their grammar knowledge.
