- The teaching methodologies are based on expository, interrogative and active methods in order to generate discussion and resolution of theoretical and practical exercises in the classroom. The equipment that makes up the servers included in the academy's rack will be used for demonstration purposes. Project and problem-based learning, case studies and seminars and discussions will also be used.

- 1. The first phase of the course will cover content related to scientific research in order to prepare students for the written reports required for the project work. 2. The methodology for monitoring the project work will be the responsibility of the supervisor, but, as a general rule, it will consist of meetings at a frequency appropriate to the work/student in question. 3. In addition, the supervisor may require the student to submit a series of interim reports as a further means of monitoring compliance with all the stages and tasks required for the project work. At the end, the student must write a final report on the work carried out.

- This course aims to provide students with their first contact with scientific research methods and techniques applied to data collection processes in a health context. Students will develop skills in observation, research, documentation, and critical analysis of the procedures and practices experienced. Learning objectives: O1. Familiarize students with research methods and techniques and their application to the scientific areas of the study cycle. O2. Develop skills in active observation and detailed documentation of data collection processes in health. O3. Prepare written reports following the methods and techniques of scientific writing. O4. Improve critical analysis skills in health data collection practices and techniques.

Avaliação continua:
A avaliação é coerente com o desenvolvimento metodológico da unidade curricular e baseia-se, em qualquer época de avaliação, na realização de um trabalho de investigação com aplicação prática utilizando sistemas de código aberto. O trabalho prático terá a seguinte ponderação: relatório (30%), projeto (60%) e apresentação (10%).
Avaliação final:
Todos os estudantes que não tenham concluído com sucesso a avaliação continua podem realizar um exame prático (100%), avaliado nos mesmos moldes da avaliação contínua, na época de avaliação definida pela instituição.

- Classes will use the expository method for theoretical concepts and the demonstrative method for practical content. The interrogative method will also be used during the assessment of learning through conceptual and practical exercises to be delivered at the end of each class (in person). Furthermore, Active Methodologies (Flipped Classroom and Problem/Project Based Learning) will be applied in the Scientific Research Project with the presentation of an Evaluative Seminar. Furthermore, the UC has 4 distinct assessment elements, namely: (a) Intermediate Work (class by class); (b) Practical Project; (c) Group Seminar; and (d) Theoretical/Practical Assessment requiring the student's mandatory participation in all of them. Therefore, students must, without fail, participate in the 4 assessments to calculate their Final Grade. Além disso, apresenta um Trabalho Científico: Seminário ( TCS ). O estudante aprova se a classificação final for superior ou igual a 9.5 valores em 20 valores.

- UC Database II is a fundamental component for Information Technology courses including Computer Networks and Systems, Programming Technologies and Information Systems, among others. Its main objective is to provide the student with a solid foundation that involves installing, configuring and administering a database server. It also aims to enable the student to understand how a Database Management System (DBMS) works internally, including techniques used to manage transactions, create and process queries. Furthermore, it considers that students are capable of evaluating the management mechanisms of a DBMS. It also encompasses tasks to compare different programming strategies in relational databases, as well as to analyze the benefits of physical data structures and to index the processing of queries and transactions in a relational DBMS.
