  • 1. The first phase of the course will cover content related to scientific research in order to prepare students for the written reports required during the internship. 2. The internship supervision methodology will be the responsibility of the supervisor, but, as a general rule, it will consist of meetings at a frequency appropriate to the work/student in question. 3. In addition, the supervisor may require the student to submit a series of interim reports as a further means of monitoring compliance with all the stages and tasks required during the internship. At the end, the student must write a final report on the work carried out.

  • The aim of this course is to give students their first contact with the methods and techniques of scientific research applied to data collection processes in a health context. Students will develop skills in observing, researching, documenting and critically analysing the procedures and practices they experience. Learning objectives: O1. To familiarise students with research methods and techniques and their application to the contexts and scientific areas of the study cycle. O2. Develop active observation skills and detailed documentation of health data collection processes. O3. Prepare written reports following the methods and techniques of scientific writing. O4. Improve their ability to critically analyse health data collection practices and techniques.  
  • 1. Introduction to scientific research in health. 2. Scientific research methods in health. 3. Use of tools for managing bibliographical references. 4. Principles of academic integrity, codes of ethics and plagiarism. 5. Health data collection processes. 6. Documentation of health data management procedures and practices. 7. Use of specific tools for documenting and recording health data. 8. report writing, following the methods and techniques of scientific writing.  
  • Avaliação Curricular (contínua e presencial):
    Esta modalidade de avaliação é constituída por:
    AVAL 1. Participação ativa na realização das atividades propostas no estágio. AVAL 2. Redação do relatório final de estágio.
    A classificação final é calculada através da fórmula Classificação Final = 0.4*A1+0.6*A2. O estudante é aprovado se obtiver classificação igual ou superior a 9.5 valores em 20.
    Avaliação Final (A) (presencial) (em qualquer época de avaliação): O estudante apresenta o relatório final de estágio (A=100%) e é aprovado se obtiver uma classificação igual ou superior a 9.5 valores em 20.

  • The learning methodology will be based on problem/project-based learning (Project Based Learning), integrating theoretical and practical concepts within the classroom context. Assessment under the curricular regime consists of a written exam focused on the theoretical-practical component of the course unit and a group project. Each assessment component is weighted as follows: group project – 40%; written exam – 60%. Final assessment follows the same objectives and is based on an exam (100%) covering both the theoretical and practical components of the course unit.
