  • Presentation of content in face-to-face sessions and discussion of topics in guided practical sessions. Development of practical assignments. The use of Problem-Based Learning (PBL) and Case Studies methodologies is planned, promoting active, student-centered learning by exposing them to real-world problems typically faced by qualified professionals in the field. Students access materials through the content management platform (Moodle).

  • The objectives of the curricular unit are: - Identify situations that require the development of specific prevention plans. - Recognize and apply techniques and procedures for verifying prevention systems and equipment. - Apply the requirements of an Occupational Health and Safety Management System based on the Portuguese Standard ISO 45001:2019, demonstrating a clear understanding of the critical requirements.

  • A aquisição de conhecimentos será aferida através de um teste de avaliação. O desenvolvimento de competências será aferido através da realização, apresentação, e da discussão de um trabalho de grupo. Os coeficientes de ponderação no cálculo da nota final são os seguintes: Teste - 60%; Trabalho de grupo (elaboração, apresentação e discussão) - 40%. - Serão aprovados os alunos que tiverem nota final igual ou superior a 10 valores nos elementos de avaliação contínua acima indicados. - Caso não sejam aprovados, terão de efetuar a avaliação final.

  • The Curricular Unit of Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems is part of the curriculum of the Higher Professional Technical Course in Quality, Environment, and Safety Management. Its main objective is to equip students with essential skills for understanding and applying the fundamental principles of prevention. Through this unit, students will develop knowledge and abilities that will enable them to establish, implement, and improve working conditions in the field of occupational health and safety, preventing risks and accidents. Furthermore, the unit aims to prepare students to adopt a proactive approach, promoting continuous improvement and, whenever possible, exceeding the legal requirements governing occupational health and safety management in organizations.

Exploration of software solutions for project management. 3. Laboratory practice: based on the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) methodology, aiming to find solutions to problems identified by students or proposed by the teacher. Independent: 4. Guided research proposed by the teacher to consolidate the topics under study and provide input for the practical work developed by the students. The teacher provides feedback on the development of the problem addressed in the laboratory practice (Tutorial Guidance - TG), either in person in the classroom or through the Moodle

  • A avaliação contínua consiste na realização de um teste intermédio (ponderação de 40%) e de três trabalhos práticos (estudo de caso) com uma ponderação de 60%. 
    Os estudantes que não obtiverem aprovação, ou não se tenham submetido, à avaliação contínua, serão sujeitos à avaliação final concretizada através de exame (100%).
