- Exposure of each topic of the subject, with practical application immediately through exercises and assignments, since this course is essentially laboratory practice. Therefore, the Problem Based Learning (ABRP) methodology will be used.

- The curricular unit aims to provide students with knowledge, both theoretical and practical, of manipulating photography. At the end of the course unit the student should be able to: - Understand the technical and conceptual fundamentals of photography from the point of view of image creation, composing, capturing and editing photographic images. - Recognize and employ basic visual concepts involved in the design of photographic images and different rules, techniques and photographic principles. - Recognize and employ the fundamental technical concepts involved in capturing and digitally editing the photographic image. - Analyze themes, concepts, compositional structures, and techniques presented in images with different formats and functions.
- 1. The origins and historical evolution of photography: landmarks and main authors of this journey. 2. Visual foundations of photography: composition, framing, point of view, color, light and scale. 3. Technical and technological framework for capturing the photographic image. 4. The camera: different objectives, their characteristics and application contexts. 5. Technical concepts: shutter speed; opening; ISO; depth of field and focal length. 6. Authors of photography, themes and genres - photojournalism; portrait; advertising; product; architecture. 7. Photography as a social document, narrative and as a means of artistic expression. 8. Image resolution and compression; photo editing and manipulation.

Trabalho em grupo - 3 ou 4 pessoas - 50% (10 valores)

Não haverá exame escrito. Quem não atingir 10 valores terá de entregar os dois trabalhos práticos até a data do exame e apresentá-los oralmente. Os critérios de avaliação serão os mesmos já identificados. Será necessário refazer os dois trabalhos individualmente. Neste caso, o segundo trabalho passa a ser individual e terá de ser totalmente inédito.- Semestral

Through research, photo analysis, and independent studio work, the Photography course unit invites students to explore the medium as a foundation for self-expression in various professional contexts.

To guide students to the opportunities of the tourism market in what concerns: Implementing digital, competitive, innovative and sustainable projects; Analyse the advantages, constraints and risks of financial investments in the sector; Transmitting the key concepts implicit in the management and programming of digital projects, developing an attitude of approaching the geographical, social and cultural contexts of framing the application of projects in real context.

- This course aims to provide students with knowledge and mastery of the basic and transversal concepts of a digital project. To enable students, in a practical context, to apply the knowledge acquired in the creation, exploitation and development of digital products or services. This course aims to introduce, for the first time in the curricular plan, methodologies of digital project development, through the application of concepts obtained during the first half of the course. The UC also intends that students prepare themselves to develop autonomous skills and have their own ideas regarding the digital world.
