- Teaching and learning methods combine theoretical and practical classes, with the presentation of concepts, discussion, and application of the syllabus content in different contexts, together with the use of Problem/Project-Based Learning (PBL). Students are also expected to consolidate the content covered in class through independent research on the various topics addressed and the development of complementary individual or group work.

- The course begins with an introduction to commercial law and its general concepts, followed by the characterization of commercial law as a distinct branch. It then examines the notions of business and commercial establishment, as well as the obligations of traders. Particular attention is given to commercial companies, including the different types of companies and the characteristics and specificities of each type. The course also addresses negotiable instruments and the legal framework of e-commerce. Furthermore, it explores the legal regime of competition and abusive practices in trade, concluding with the study of commercial contracting.

- The internship aims to put into practice, complement and develop, in a specialised way, the knowledge, skills and competences acquired during the course, constituting an instrument of preparation for integration into the labour market. It also allows the development of initiative, organization, responsibility and teamwork capacity and the necessary tools for the elaboration of technical and scientific reports, such as the Internship Report.
- The Syllabus of this course is determined by three components: The set of activities and tasks that the students will perform in a work context, which are agreed between the local supervisor and the internship advisor, consigned in the Training Plan. Tutorial follow-up sessions. Thematic sessions, where themes such as methodologies for the elaboration of technical-scientific reports will be addressed, namely the norms and presentation of the Final Internship Report.

- The curricular unit Internship fills totally the second semester of the last year of the Professional Higher Technical Course in Digital Communication, being developed in work environment. The internships provide students with the opportunity to complement, develop and consolidate the learning, skills and attitudes acquired throughout the course, through an effective link from theory to practice. The internships are held in entities of the core areas of the course, namely the areas of communication and technology with which training protocols are established in a work context, being accompanied by a local supervisor and an ISLA-IPGT advisor.

Em época normal, a avaliação curricular é composta pela realização de um portfólio de trabalhos realizados em aula, a média destes trabalhos tem um peso de 30%; complementa-se a avaliação com uma prova escrita sobre os conhecimentos adquiridos, com um peso de 40%; junta-se um trabalho de grupo com o peso de 30%.
Na época normal, a frequência e o trabalho de grupo são obrigatórios, sendo que a não realização de qualquer um destes elementos implica a reprovação automática do aluno. O portfólio e a frequência são realizados em sala de aula, em caso de não comparência, os alunos terão zero valores nessas avaliações. O trabalho de grupo é desenvolvido fora da sala de aula, mas a apresentação e defesa são obrigatoriamente presenciais.
Nas épocas de recurso e especial, a avaliação será orientada pelos mesmos objetivos e baseia-se num exame (100%), integrando a componente teórica e a componente prática da unidade curricular.
