- The features of the Java language and the concepts of Object-Oriented Programming will be introduced in the theoretical classes, where their principles and applications will be discussed. In the practical classes, students will have the opportunity to apply this knowledge by solving exercises that reinforce their understanding of the language and enhance their skills in creating object-oriented programming solutions. Students will also be required to develop a final project to consolidate the knowledge they have acquired.
- Mandatory
- Upon completing the course unit, students should understand the differences between procedural languages and object-oriented languages, as well as the underlying philosophies of each. They should be capable of using the Java programming language to write programs that employ the object-oriented paradigm. Additionally, students should be able to choose the most suitable type of language for different types of projects.
- CP1: Introduction to the Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) Paradigm CP2: Objects, Classes, and Complementary Elements for OOP Classes, data structure, filters, files, objects, and constructors CP3: Inheritance Explanation of inheritance in OOP, class extension, and overriding CP4: Polymorphism Overloading and dynamic methods in OOP CP5: Encapsulation Access modifiers, getters, and setters in OOP CP6: Abstraction Abstract classes and interfaces CP7: Relevant Topics in OOP Inner classes, static members, and an introduction to design patterns CP8: Code Structure and Organization

- The course adopts methodologies that combine theory and practice in a project-based learning approach, with the development of a project throughout the semester. The hands-on methodology with real WordPress installation and configuration allows immediate learning of theoretical concepts. Weekly group challenges with subsequent collective discussion promote collaborative problem-solving and critical thinking. Peer evaluation in regular presentations fosters analytical skills and technical argumentation. The structuring of the project into three phases (alpha, beta and final) simulates the professional web development environment. Cross-testing, where groups test their colleagues' projects, provides experience in usability testing. Each team has a manager who monitors the projects by introducing elements of project management, while weekly goal-oriented autonomous work develops self-discipline and planning skills that are essential in the job market.

- This course develops skills for creating and managing dynamic web platforms. It integrates previous knowledge in an applied context, focusing on systems that facilitate the publication and maintenance of digital content without advanced programming. It covers the study and implementation of CMS, mainly WordPress, from installation to advanced customization with plugins and themes. It covers digital content management, search engine optimization, interface customization, the creation of specific content types and the implementation of security strategies. The course provides knowledge of good UX/UI practices, usability testing and digital marketing strategies applied to CMS. Its relevance is justified by linking web programming, interface design and digital marketing skills, preparing students to develop complete web projects autonomously, responding to the current needs of the job market.
