- At the end of the curricular unit, students should be able to: Understand the main leadership theories and their evolution in organizational contexts. Identify and analyse different leadership styles and their impact on teams and organizational performance. Apply emotional intelligence and human-centered leadership principles in team management. Demonstrate effective communication skills, including active listening and constructive feedback. Implement strategies to enhance motivation, engagement and collaboration in teams. Apply conflict management and collaborative negotiation techniques. Recognize the importance of organizational culture and well-being for sustainable organizational performance.
- Os conteúdos programáticos foram estruturados de forma progressiva, iniciando-se com os fundamentos conceptuais da liderança e evoluindo para a aplicação prática das competências de gestão de pessoas e equipas. Os primeiros tópicos permitem aos estudantes compreender as principais teorias e estilos de liderança, fornecendo uma base conceptual sólida. Posteriormente, são abordadas competências essenciais para a prática da liderança contemporânea, como inteligência emocional, comunicação eficaz, motivação de equipas e gestão de conflitos. Os conteúdos relativos à cultura organizacional e à liderança humanizada reforçam a compreensão do impacto da liderança no bem-estar, na inovação e na produtividade organizacional. Por fim, a unidade curricular culmina com a aplicação prática das competências adquiridas através da elaboração de planos de ação e estratégias de desenvolvimento de liderança, garantindo a ligação entre conhecimento teórico e aplicação prática.

- This curricular unit focuses on the principles of contemporary leadership and team management. It explores leadership models, organizational culture, emotional intelligence, communication strategies and team motivation. The course analyses the evolution of leadership approaches, highlighting the transition from traditional command-and-control models to human-centered and transformational leadership. Particular emphasis is placed on the role of leaders in creating organizational environments based on trust, engagement and psychological safety. Topics include leadership styles, emotional intelligence, conflict management, communication strategies, motivation and organizational culture, preparing students to lead teams effectively and sustainably in complex organizational contexts.
