  • Students should be able to understand the roles of managers in an organization (LO1); Identify and analyze the variables of the surrounding environment and the influence they have on organizations (LO2); analyze the interaction between the different functional areas of the organization (LO3); be able to perform a strategic analysis of the organization (LO4); define and know how to use the different tools for analyzing and controlling organizational processes (LO5); collect, process, and interpret information essential for the management of an organization (LO6).

Organizational Planning - Analysis of the external environment - Analysis of the internal environment. - Defining mission, objectives, and strategies. - Decision-making: Decision-making models and group decision-making III. Organizational structures - Organizational structures: organizational macrostructures and microstructures - Complexity, formalization, and centralization IV. Controlling business activity - Perspectives on control in management - Management control: objectives and instruments - Control techniques. V. Intangible instruments of intervention in management - Motivation and satisfaction of needs. - Leadership styles and types. - Communication and its effects. - Organizational culture
  • Avaliação contínua:

    - Teste de avaliação escrito – 60%

    - Trabalho escrito e apresentação oral – 40%

    Avaliação por TAG:

    Teste de avaliação global (TAG) – 100%

    Nota:

    Os estudantes que não tenham sucesso na avaliação contínua ou na avaliação por TAG podem realizar exames nas épocas de avaliação definidas pela instituição (normal e de recurso). Considera-se que um aluno teve sucesso numa UC se o mesmo obtiver uma nota final superior ou igual a 9,5 valores.

  • This course provides students with an overview of organizations and their management in the context of today's societies. Follow the evolution of the main management theories. Analyze the main concepts and theories within the framework of management process functions. Address the different functional areas of organizations and their interrelationships. Learn about the main trends in modern management and the different organizational forms of today. Contextualize the organization in relation to its environment based on different organizational paradigms. Define organizational mission, strategy, and objectives. Characterize the various forms of organizational structure. Frame management subsystems in the European and global context.

  • The course adopts methodologies that combine theory and practice through a project-based learning approach, involving the development of a project throughout the semester. The hands-on methodology, with the real installation and configuration of WordPress, enables the immediate application of theoretical concepts. Weekly group challenges, followed by collective discussions, encourage collaborative problem-solving and critical thinking. Peer assessment during regular presentations fosters analytical skills and technical argumentation.

Identify the main techniques, methodologies and tools of content management in web scenarios. Create content management applications. Apply content management techniques to build informational and communication spaces in network. Install open source management and content systems for the various communication sectors.
