- Identify the scope of study of microbiology: Public Health perspective and relevance of environmental microbiology. -Recognize the different groups of microorganisms using their structural and morphological features and metabolic characteristics . -Know the methods of detection and identification of microbial agents and adapt the methodology to the sample type (clinical, health) . -Understand the link between poor practices of health and safety at work and the emergence of microbial infections. -Select appropriate methods of disinfection and sterilization
