  • The expository method is used to transmit knowledge bases but, mainly, the interrogative and active method is used for a critical analysis of shared content and an effective application of the principles of information and communication in the area of safety and health at work. The student must acquire and/or develop critical analysis and synthesis, research and written and oral communication skills. To acquire these skills, the following teaching and learning methodologies will be used: 1. Expository, to present theoretical reference frameworks; 2. Interrogatives, for question-answer interactions and for confirming and clarifying doubts; 3. Active, with analysis and resolution of cases and practical exercises and carrying out group work with tutorial guidance in class; 4. Self-study and inverted classroom, related to the student's autonomous work, whether for class preparation, written test or group practical paper.

  • In general, it is intended that at the end of the semester students will be able to understand: - the identification, evaluation and control of chemical agents - the risks of exposure to mechanical vibrations and protective measures - the risks of exposure to radiation and protective measures - the standards and regulations in force In specific, it is intended that at the end of the semester students will be able to: - Identify chemical agents and recognize their risk characteristics - Know the measurement and sampling procedures, the evaluation methods and the control measures of exposure to chemical agents - Know the legislation and technical standards applicable to chemical agents, radiation and vibrations - technical and scientific foundations of exposure to radiation and mechanical vibrations - Know the measuring instruments and methods of evaluation of exposure to radiation and mechanical vibrations - Be aware of the measures to control exposure to radiation and mechanical vibrations

    Avaliação por Exame:

    Os alunos que reprovarem na avaliação contínua possuem duas épocas de exame (normal e de recurso).

    Qualquer que seja a época de avaliação, considera-se que o estudante obteve aprovação à UC se tiver nota final superior ou igual a 9,5 valores.

    Os alunos podem optar em tempo útil por um exame final a realizar numa época de avaliação destinada a esse fim. Para os que não manifestem a sua opção, será considerada por defeito a avaliação curricular. Os alunos que não sejam aprovados através do sistema de avaliação curricular serão submetidos a exame final nas épocas de avaliação definidas pela instituição. O exame consistirá sempre de uma componente escrita (60%) e outra oral (40%).

    A ponderação de 20%+20% da nota final relativa às apresentações de trabalho individual e em grupo implica a avaliação de competências linguísticas orais. A escolha dos temas poderá ser feita pelos estudantes ou determinada pelo docente, mas todos os trabalhos individuais deverão ser previamente autorizados pelo mesmo. A presença do aluno na data definida para avaliação é um requisito obrigatório.

  • English for this curricular unit is a valuable asset, allowing students of another mother tongue to discuss complicated working procedures with their peers and communicate effectively with future clients and end users, ultimately giving them the vocabulary and skills necessary to better perform their work. Specific training in English allows students to be more productive and flexible, making it easier for them to communicate with future bosses, to understand instructions, to share ideas and to get feedback from co-workers.

  • Use of moodle where the student has access to digital sebentas that allows him to absorb the content through the virtual medium and when arriving at the classroom is already aware of the subject to be developed. The "inverted classroom" makes it possible to know the concepts before approaching them allowing to monetize the time of learning. Use of applications (PhotoMath, Maple Calculator, Microsoft Math Solver ...) that, in real time, allow the student not only to acquire knowledge but also to support their study. Use of the interactive whiteboard to make presentations more dynamic. Use of platforms (such as Zoom) to allow students who cannot be in person not to miss the possibility of integrating the class.

    • Os alunos terão de optar entre a realização dos Testes intermédios ou a realização do Teste de Avaliação Global. Se o aluno tiver nota inferior a 7,5 valores no 1º Teste ou desistir, não pode comparecer ao 2º Teste. A aprovação na avaliação curricular implica nota final não inferior a 9,5 valores. Os alunos não podem ter nota inferior a 7,5 valores em cada um dos testes.
    • Todos os alunos inscritos à unidade curricular podem realizar a avaliação final na época normal desde que não tenham realizado ou obtido aprovação na avaliação curricular.
