  • Use of moodle where the student has access to digital sebentas that allows him to absorb the content through the virtual medium and when arriving at the classroom is already aware of the subject to be developed. The "inverted classroom" makes it possible to know the concepts before approaching them allowing to monetize the time of learning. Use of applications (PhotoMath, Maple Calculator, Microsoft Math Solver ...) that, in real time, allow the student not only to acquire knowledge but also to support their study. Use of the interactive whiteboard to make presentations more dynamic. Use of platforms (such as Zoom) to allow students who cannot be in person not to miss the possibility of integrating the class.

  • The program of this course was designed with the objective to consolidate and extend their mathematical knowledge of students. Understanding concepts and techniques of differential calculus is the main objective. It is intended that students master the materials presented in the program, develop skills of abstraction and use critical sense with intuition and learning in this course in their area of training. It is also intended to provide students with sensitivity to the need for accuracy in language use and clarity of exposition and analytical capacity and autonomy for the use of particular mathematical techniques in solving concrete problems in their professional lives.

    • Os alunos terão de optar entre a realização dos Testes intermédios ou a realização do Teste de Avaliação Global. Se o aluno tiver nota inferior a 7,5 valores no 1º Teste ou desistir, não pode comparecer ao 2º Teste. A aprovação na avaliação curricular implica nota final não inferior a 9,5 valores. Os alunos não podem ter nota inferior a 7,5 valores em cada um dos testes.
    • Todos os alunos inscritos à unidade curricular podem realizar o exame final na época normal desde que não tenham realizado ou obtido aprovação na avaliação curricular.

  • Mathematics I provides knowledge in the area of Mathematical Analysis, which is an essential tool in solving various types of problems. Mathematics is a means of communication, a formal and precise language. It is one of the essential and necessary theoretical bases of all the great systems of interpretation of reality that guarantee social intervention with responsibility and give meaning to the human condition. Mathematical knowledge is part of the cultural heritage of humanity because it has its own characteristics and procedures that have also evolved in the context of other sciences.

Teaching Methodology Bearing in mind the theoretical and practical objectives of the curricular unit, the programmed teaching methods are as follows: Theoretical-practical classes to expose the subject (expository and interrogative method) with presentations and discussions by the students (active and participatory method). Presentation of practical examples through dynamic image and group work. Presentation of case studies, demonstrations, public presentations. 2. Evaluation method The evaluation will be made through the use of two tests distributed throughout the semester, an individual work subject to certain rules presented in a statement and final exam: 1 written test with a minimum grade of 9,5 values and a weighting of 50% in the final grade. 1 group work assignment with a minimum grade of 12 values and a weighting of 50% in the final grade. Period exam with a minimum grade of 9.5.

  • Characterize the various situations considered an emergency. Identify the types of responses to emergencies. Describe the types of plans. Structure plans. Carry out simulations of emergency situations and evaluate their results in order to correct for deviations from the security. Carry out a legislative framework for the emergence and identify the resources required for emergency response.
  • Signalling fire safety and emergency. Escape routes. Organization and safety management. Prevention Plan. Emergency Plan. Training in emergency organization

    Transitam automáticamente para avaliação final por exame os estudantes que obtenham na avaliação distribuída:

    • Uma nota inferior a 9 valores no teste escrito. Caso o trabalho tenha uma nota igual ou superior a 12 valores o exame incidirá sobre a matéria do teste e a nota final será ponderada da seguinte forma: nota do exame x 60% + nota do trabalho x 40%. O valor a considerar na nota do exame para esta ponderação é no mínimo de 9,5 valores.
    • Uma nota inferior a 12 valores no trabalho de grupo ou no caso do trabalho não ser aceite por não cumprir as regras para a sua execução. Caso a nota do teste seja igual ou superior a 9 valores, o exame incidirá sobre a matéria de base escolhida para o trabalho de grupo e a nota final será ponderada da seguinte forma: nota do teste x 60% + nota do exame x 40%. O valor a considerar na nota do exame para esta ponderação é no mínimo de 9,5 valores.

    No caso de estudantes que não apresentem qulquer avaliação em cada um dos elementos de avaliação, o exame final incidirá sobre todo o conteudo programático da UC.

  • Completion of Engineering degree in Occupational Safety enables the student applies for professional certification as Senior Technical Safety and Hygiene (level 6), as this course is approved by ACT - Authority for Working Conditions in accordance with the referential introduced by the Certification Manual for Technician Safety and Hygiene of former IDICT (Institute for Development and Inspection of Working Conditions). The thematic area of the Emergency Organisation is one of the subject areas to be addressed as part of the syllabus recommended in the Certification Manual.
