  • The development of an applied project on occupational health and safety allows students to deepen and apply skills acquired throughout the course. The design and implementation of the project is monitored by the teaching team, with the assignment of an individual advisor to each student. They will also have the opportunity to prepare a technical-scientific report with the project developed and present and defend it in the context of public proofs.
  • Mandatory
  • This last step requires that they develop a course final work dedicated to the area of safety and hygiene at work, whether by producing a Training at Work Report or through a Monograph with a case study. The central objectives of the definition of this are: - deepening a theme related to the course by the students, enabling them to improve the capacity of reflection and synthesis and application of knowledge, as well the contact with research practices; - reinforce the internalization of concepts, methods and techniques in the formative perspective that the students also learn by doing (applied knowledge).

  • The following points are adapted to the nature of the Dissertation II course: 1. Project-Based Learning (PBL): Students work on complex projects that address real-world issues. This promotes problem-solving skills, collaboration and critical thinking. 2. Problem-Based Learning (PBL): Students learn by solving authentic problems. They identify problems, conduct research and collaborate to find solutions, which promotes a deeper understanding of the content. 3. Cooperative Learning: Students work together in small groups to achieve common goals. Collaboration is emphasized, and each member of the group is responsible for their own and their classmates' learning. 4. Microlearning: Content is broken down into small units to facilitate fast, focused learning.
  • Optional
  • - Promote research, analysis and interpretation skills, in terms of research methodology; - To develop skills that allow the construction of an integrative and functional individual perspective based on the research carried out, whose conclusions allow the researcher to develop models of intervention in organizational contexts, in order to promote the development of individuals and the contexts in which they work; - Develop a conceptual and practical framework of reference in relation to intervention issues in different organizational contexts.
  • 1. Project execution 1.1 Experimental/laboratory research; 1.2 Discussion of results; 1.3 Conclusions/development of models/prototypes/problem resolution. 2. Dissertation and article writing. 3. Defense and presentation in public evidence.
