  • The course applies active and innovative methodologies, including real case studies, practical workshops, simulations, structured debates and digital content analysis. Online tools (Moodle, Canva, Metricool) and collaborative activities are used to apply communication models to real scenarios.   The critical use of generative AI supports analysis and example creation, fostering autonomy and critical thinking.

  • The course aims to develop an understanding of the main communication models, enabling students to critically analyse communicational processes and apply these models to real cases, especially in digital contexts.   It also aims to strengthen skills in interpretation, diagnosis and message production, promoting critical thinking, media literacy, teamwork and the practical application of communication theories in digital and organisational environments.

  • The course unit Communication Modelling Practice introduces students to the main classical, interactive, critical and digital models of communication, providing a foundational understanding of how these frameworks support contemporary communicational processes.   Within the CTeSP in Digital Communication, the UC operates across the core domains of communication theory, critical analysis, media interpretation and practical application in digital contexts.   Its relevance lies in equipping students with the conceptual and applied skills needed to analyse, evaluate and produce effective communication across social media, digital platforms and organisational environments, serving as a theoretical-practical foundation for subsequent units in digital marketing, content creation and strategic communication.

  • Students will be involved in simulated practices and case studies, facing real sales and negotiation challenges in order to act with the objective of selling well. They will take part in simulations and role-playing to try out different approaches and practical cases to apply techniques learned in class. Students will have contact with the commercial area, through the presence in the classroom or online of reference speakers and visits to companies that will provide valuable insights. Constructive feedback will be given to improve skills, encouraging self-assessment for future business relationships.

  • Students in the Sales and Negotiation Techniques and Practices Curriculum Unit develop fundamental skills, such as understanding the difference between selling and negotiating, knowing the phases of selling and stages of negotiation, and properly preparing negotiations. They master various strategies, such as hard selling and soft selling, and techniques such as cross selling and up selling. In addition, they understand the role of online sales and their relationship with customers, as well as the strategies associated with B2B and B2C sales. They develop the profile of a successful negotiator and take part in practical simulations to apply their knowledge in real business situations.

Teaching Methodology Bearing in mind the theoretical and practical objectives of the curricular unit, the programmed teaching methods are as follows: Theoretical-practical classes to expose the subject (expository and interrogative method) with presentations and discussions by the students (active and participatory method). Presentation of practical examples through dynamic image and group work. Presentation of case studies, demonstrations, public presentations. 2. Evaluation method The evaluation will be made through the use of two tests distributed throughout the semester, an individual work subject to certain rules presented in a statement and final exam: 1 written test with a minimum grade of 9 values and a weighting of 60% in the final grade. 1 individual assignment with a minimum grade of 12 values and a weighting of 40% in the final grade. Period exam with a minimum grade of 9.5.

Characterize and apply the various risk diagnosis techniques associated with machinery and work equipment. Implement and operationalize the risk control processes related to machinery and work equipment. Characterize and apply the various risk diagnosis techniques associated with high-risk activities. Implement and operationalize the risk control processes related to certain high risk activities. Describe the scope and principles of Occupational Road Safety. Characterize the various legal and social obligations within the scope of O R S. To characterize the various specific diagnostic and risk control techniques associated with road driving at work. Characterize the new emerging risks and strategies for their prevention.

    Transitam automáticamente para avaliação final por exame os estudantes que obtenham na avaliação distribuída:

    • Uma nota inferior a 9 valores no teste escrito. Caso o trabalho tenha uma nota igual ou superior a 12 valores o exame incidirá sobre a matéria do teste e a nota final será ponderada da seguinte forma: nota do exame x 60% + nota do trabalho x 40%. O valor a considerar na nota do exame para esta ponderação é no mínimo de 9,5 valores.
    • Uma nota inferior a 12 valores no trabalho individual ou no caso do trabalho não ser aceite por não cumprir as regras para a sua execução. Caso a nota do teste seja igual ou superior a 9 valores, o exame incidirá sobre a matéria de base escolhida para o trabalho individual e a nota final será ponderada da seguinte forma: nota do teste x 60% + nota do exame x 40%. O valor a considerar na nota do exame para esta ponderação é no mínimo de 9,5 valores.
    • No caso de estudantes que não apresentem qulquer avaliação em cada um dos elementos de avaliação, o exame final incidirá sobre todo o conteudo programático da UC.

  • Since the completion of the degree in Safety at Work Engineering also allows the student applies for professional certification as a Senior Technical Safety at Work (Level 6), since this course is approved by the Authority for Working Conditions, being the subject area of Work Safety one of the key areas, both at the professional profile of Senior Technician SHT, as in the overall context of this degree, the objectives and program content of this Course was in part based on the objectives and issues addressed in part of the syllabus of the Manual of Certification of former IDICT, dated 2001.
