Problem- and project-based learning approaches are used to stimulate critical thinking, decision-making, and the transfer of knowledge to real-world sports contexts. The Teaching Games for Understanding model is implemented in sports modalities, prioritizing tactical awareness before technical execution. A flipped classroom approach enhances in-class time for practical application of content. Digital technologies are integrated to support performance monitoring and immediate feedback. Additionally, pedagogical differentiation and continuous formative assessment are applied, ensuring adaptation to students' individual characteristics and promoting the progressive improvement of learning outcomes.

- By the end of the course unit, students are expected to acquire knowledge about the technical, methodological and pedagogical foundations associated with the modalities of fitness, tennis and padel. They should develop skills related to the technical execution of fundamental motor abilities, as well as the planning, organization and delivery of physical activity and sports sessions. The course unit also aims to promote competences related to the improvement of physical fitness, the development of motor skills and the adoption of safe exercise practices. It further seeks to encourage cooperation, teamwork, responsibility and sports ethics, while fostering autonomy, self-improvement and the ability to adapt in sports practice contexts. Students are also expected to recognize the importance of sport and physical activity in promoting health, well-being and active lifestyles in society.
- Programmatic contents Fitness: benefits of localized training and stretching; equipment and material resources; technique, posture and safety in exercise execution; methodology and organization of classes; planning and structuring of training sessions; pedagogy of localized fitness training; basic localized training exercises, stretching, relaxation and recovery. Strength training and cardiofitness foundations: risk stratification; assessment of health profile and physical activity level; exercise prescription, planning and periodization; communication with the client; monitoring and follow-up of training programmes; methodology of individualized exercise prescription. Tennis: history, organization and rules of the sport; technical fundamentals (movement, grips and basic strokes); technical and tactical analysis of the game; teaching methodology (Play and Stay) and training planning. Padel: introduction to the sport, rules of the game and fundamental technical concepts.

- The course unit Sports Activities and Practices II is integrated within the field of Sport Sciences and aims to develop technical, pedagogical and organizational competencies related to the practice and promotion of physical and sports activities. The course focuses on the modalities of fitness, tennis and padel, promoting the acquisition of knowledge regarding their technical, methodological and pedagogical foundations. Within the study programme in Sports Activities Management, this course contributes to the development of physical fitness, motor skills and the ability to plan and conduct physical activity sessions, while promoting values such as cooperation, responsibility and sports ethics. This course unit is relevant within the study programme as it prepares students to intervene in contexts such as sports clubs, fitness centres and physical activity promotion programmes, encouraging active and healthy lifestyles.
