- The teaching methodology consists of presenting and discussing topics and, whenever possible, introducing existing technologies through practical examples of applications that demonstrate the concepts involved. At the end of each topic, exercises are proposed to consolidate learning. New teaching methodologies are also explored, with students engaging in the exploration of new development and implementation techniques supported by machine learning. Metodologia de avaliação: Curriculum Assessment: Assessment test weighted at 60% of the final grade, with a minimum grade of 8. Practical work weighted at 30% of the final grade. Attendance and participation in classes weighted at 10%. Minimum attendance of 70% in classes. Final Assessment: All students will be entitled to a final examination.

- This course unit (Geography and Spatial Planning) provides students with the concepts, principles and terminology of Geography, spatial planning and territory, as foundations for understanding tourism as a territorial phenomenon. It aims to enable students to acquire a global perspective and to develop knowledge about: a) the key concepts, principles and terminology underlying Geography and spatial planning; b) the relationship between territories and the tourism system as interdependent phenomena; c) the multiplicity of geographical and tourism spaces, considering the uniqueness and differentiation of places and practices; d) tourism typologies, flow models and spatial development patterns; e) territory, policies, plans and spatial planning instruments.

- The syllabus of this course unit builds on core geographical concepts to examine and explain the dynamics of tourism across territories and the factors shaping tourist flows. Climatic, landscape, economic and technological factors influence these movements, often originating in more developed regions and producing a range of impacts in tourist destinations. Although tourism is commonly associated with economic development, this is not always the case. This requires policies and planning criteria that guide development and spatial planning, while safeguarding the well-being of host communities. Throughout the unit, students will be encouraged to reflect on the conditions needed for tourism to benefit all stakeholders.

- Use of moodle where the student has access to digital sebentas that allows him to absorb the content through the virtual medium and when arriving at the classroom is already aware of the subject to be developed. The "inverted classroom" makes it possible to know the concepts before approaching them allowing to monetize the time of learning. Use of applications (PhotoMath, Maple Calculator, Microsoft Math Solver ...) that, in real time, allow the student not only to acquire knowledge but also to support their study. Use of the interactive whiteboard to make presentations more dynamic. Use of platforms (such as Zoom) to allow students who cannot be in person not to miss the possibility of integrating the class.

- Os alunos terão de optar entre a realização dos Testes intermédios ou a realização do Teste de Avaliação Global. Se o aluno tiver nota inferior a 7,5 valores no 1º Teste ou desistir, não pode comparecer ao 2º Teste. A aprovação na avaliação curricular implica nota final não inferior a 9,5 valores. Os alunos não podem ter nota inferior a 7,5 valores em cada um dos testes.
- Todos os alunos inscritos à unidade curricular podem realizar o exame final na época normal desde que não tenham realizado ou obtido aprovação na avaliação curricular.
