    Os estudantes que não tenham sucesso na avaliação contínua ou na avaliação por TAG podem realizar exames nas épocas de avaliação definidas pela instituição (normal e de recurso). Considera-se que um aluno teve sucesso numa UC se o mesmo obtiver uma nota final superior ou igual a 9,5 valores.

  • This course provides students with an overview of organizations and their management in the context of today's societies. Follow the evolution of the main management theories. Analyze the main concepts and theories within the framework of management process functions. Address the different functional areas of organizations and their interrelationships. Learn about the main trends in modern management and the different organizational forms of today. Contextualize the organization in relation to its environment based on different organizational paradigms. Define organizational mission, strategy, and objectives. Characterize the various forms of organizational structure. Frame management subsystems in the European and global context.

  • The course has the characteristics of an integrative discipline, in which the student should be able to: - Apply the knowledge acquired in research methodologies and other course units; - Construct an autonomous work project, applying the scientific method to define the theme, problem and methodology to be followed to carry out the work. - Carry out scientific research work, publishing the results obtained by writing a dissertation or project report. - In the case of an internship, draw up a report detailing the valuable functions, processes and activities carried out and developed from a perspective that integrates the knowledge and skills acquired during the course.

  • Active Learning can be used in this curricular unit, promoting practical activities that involve students directly in the learning process, such as trips to heritage sites, case studies, simulations and practical projects. Problem-Based Learning (PBL) will also be applied by developing a problem-situation related to natural heritage and tourism. We will also apply Collaborative Learning which promotes collaboration between students, encouraging them to work in groups to make presentations on topics related to natural heritage.

  • OBJECTIVES - Provide students with a good mastery of the problems associated with natural heritage, in particular, with classified areas, making them aware of the importance of public policies aimed at their sustainability. - Provide students with technical skills to enable their participation in this territories' management, enhancing their ability to better understand the topic and to educate visitors. - To equip students with ethical behaviour towards the environment and the biotic and abiotic communities that inhabit it.   SKILLS: - Systemic vision on natural heritage management. - Mastery of the conceptual framework through the reading and analysis of the recommended bibliographic resources. - Domain of practical skills associated with academic works are to be developed by the students as they are fundamental tools to operate and intervene in professional and market environments in which they are/will be involved.
  •   Cultural and natural heritage: concepts, definitions and distinctions; geoheritage, biodiversity and geodiversity; protected areas and conservation. Characteristics and typologies of natural heritage: parks, reserves, geoparks, natural monuments. Natural heritage at the international level: Conventions, UNESCO and the Global Network of Protected Areas. Natural heritage in the European Union: policies, instruments and conservation strategies (e.g. Natura 2000). Natural heritage in Portugal: legal framework, national protected areas and management challenges. Natural heritage at the local level: inventory, enhancement and management of nearby natural resources. Practical work: analysis of a foreign national park or UNESCO site; study of natural heritage in danger; characterization and observation of local natural heritage.

  • This curricular unit explores natural heritage as a key resource for sustainable tourism, combining theory and practice in fields such as conservation, ecology, geography, management, and destination marketing. It highlights the relationship between culture and nature, tangible and intangible heritage, and the balance between conservation and sustainable development. The program is structured across six levels of analysis — international, European Union, national, and local — enabling students to understand legal, institutional, and management frameworks. Through case studies and practical projects, students acquire skills to identify, characterize, and analyze natural areas (parks, protected landscapes, geoparks, reserves, or coastal zones), while recognizing the role of different stakeholders and critically reflecting on the challenges and limitations of protecting and enhancing natural heritage.

  • O presente programa tem como grande objectivo gerar conhecimentos fundamentais na área dos sistemas de gestão das organizações, dando especial atenção à gestão de riscos nas organizações, actualmente, modelo central das normas de gestão ISO. A unidade é direccionada para alunos formados em áreas técnicas, mas com necessidades de conhecimentos complementares na área da gestão, por responsabilidades profissionais, ou áreas complementares, decorrentes das suas funções. Com esta formação os formandos deverão ganhar conhecimentos que lhes permitam gerir, acompanhar, ou desempenhar funções nna implementação e manutenção de um sistema de gestão, com base na gestão de riscos.
