  • The main objective of this course is to consolidate and develop linguistic knowledge using grammar, vocabulary, both in writing and orally. Students will have to recognize formal and informal language. Do listening exercises to consolidate oral comprehension using different topics and dialects. At the same time they will have to deal with complaints and simple explanations, verbally and written.

Discussions to consolidate spoken language will be carried out and written mails and letters and texts to consolidate written language will be elaborated. Understanding vocabulary and subjects related to Accounting, Management and Human Resources are of major importance

  • The course unit combines theoretical instruction, technical demonstration, and intensive hands-on practice in a laboratory environment. Students participate in weekly exercises involving equipment operation, setup assembly, recording, and critical analysis of results. Case studies, professional workflow demonstrations, and practical exercises in technical problem-solving are used. Learning is centered on experimentation, simulation of real production contexts, and collaborative work.

  • -  Understand the functioning of the main audiovisual equipment: cameras, microphones, recorders, and lighting systems. - Know the technical specifications and best practices for equipment use in different professional contexts. - Develop practical skills in configuring and operating sound and image equipment. - Apply appropriate techniques for audiovisual capture in both studio and outdoor environments. - Perform basic maintenance and troubleshoot common technical issues. - Integrate theoretical and practical knowledge when selecting suitable equipment for different projects. - Work collaboratively in the operation of equipment and in the preparation of audiovisual exercises.

  • The lessons in this curricular unit are practical and are taught in a project-based context, complemented by guidance and mentoring of the work, with role-play client - softwarewhose. A SCRUM-based development methodology is used, defined by sprints, with User Stories identified for task development and their respective priority, as well as follow-up meetings, sprint planning, sprint reviews and sprint retrospective.

  • Consolidation of the knowledge acquired through the completion of the entire software development cycle in applied projects.   Build software applications with client / server architectures, access local or remote databases, for desktop and / or web and / or mobile platforms.   Competences: Knowledge of the structure, organization, operation and interconnection of computer systems, fundamentals of its programming and its application to solve specific engineering problems; Ability to analyze, design, build and maintain applications robustly, safely and efficiently; Select the appropriate technologies; Analysis and modeling of computer systems; Expertise in modeling languages; Development of software design / development reports; Teamwork.

    Todos os estudantes que não tenham concluído com sucesso a avaliação contínua podem realizar um exame final na época de avaliação definida pela instituição.

  • In the UC "Theory of Multimedia Communication" innovative teaching methodologies are used, e.g., classes practices, interdisciplinary R&D projects, roleplays, use of digital technologies and devices, among others. It is important to highlight that the use of these methodologies is intended to contribute to the development of students' skills in the area, in addition to making the teaching-learning process more dynamic and interesting.

  • A metodologia de ensino adotada permitirá aos estudantes adquirir o conhecimento das matérias fundamentais para a resolução das diversas questões suscitadas na área da Comunicação Multimédia. Dar-se-á prioridade a atividades que instiguem a participação efetiva dos alunos, tais como trabalhos individuais, de pares e em grupo e a resolução de problemas práticos simulados tendo em conta as competências a desenvolver. 

    Para além dos tradicionais métodos de exposição, a transmissão oral dos conceitos dos saberes através da exposição, debates e interrogação; privilegiam-se os métodos ativos baseados em trabalhos de grupo, estudos de caso e simulações.
