  • Curricular Evaluation The teaching methods used are exposed and practical. Continuous evaluation is elaborated as followed: written test 1 30% minimun 8/20 written test 2 30% minimum 8/20 practical work and oral presentation 30%   assessment and participation 10%    2.final evaluation: students who don't pass have the right to a final exam that will be at the time of exams

  • The main objective of this course is to consolidate and develop linguistic knowledge using grammar, vocabulary, both in writing and orally. Students will have to recognize formal and informal language. Do listening exercises to consolidate oral comprehension using different topics and dialects. At the same time they will have to deal with complaints and simple explanations, verbally and written
  • Introduction: the role of English in the AV industry Basic audiovisual vocabulary (camera, editing, sound) Reading: manuals, instructions, and technical docs Writing: formatting emails and reports Speaking: introducing yourself in a professional setting Script-related vocabulary (scenes, dialogue, sluglines) Presenting a project idea in English (pitch basics) Listening: understanding tutorials, interviews, case studies Reading comprehension: academic articles on film/sound Writing a short treatment in English Oral presentations – pitching short concepts Group work: simulate an international production meeting Industry case studies – Hollywood vs Europe terminology Portfolio building in English (CV, LinkedIn, portfolio site) Final presentations (pitches & written projects)

  • English classes are built upon students existing knowledge of English. The manuals Check your vocabulary for business and administration and Human Resources, English for Business Communication, Professional English Business Intermediate and New Grammar Practice intermediate will be followed. Discussions to consolidate spoken language will be carried out and written mails and letters and texts to consolidate written language will be elaborated. Understanding vocabulary and subjects related to sound and image through scientific texts and undertstanding the cinema language of Hollywood vs Europe. Small films, pitches and film dialogues will be studied.
