  • The curricular unit Security in Information Systems, aims to enrich the student's knowledge in identifying cybersecurity threats to an organization's networks and systems. It involves themes from cyber-risk, intrusion detection systems, attack cycle and creation of an attack laboratory. Throughout the semester, several projects will be carried out to complement the student's knowledge and, if possible, the presence of experts in the area to share their experience, giving an operational view of cybersecurity in organizations in Portugal.

  • At the end, Students must have the following knowledge: What is the role of systems in information in the organization's strategy. How systems should be integrated into the organizational structure. What should be the role of governance in information systems. How to structure processes / projects in a global economy. Fundamental issues in the strategic use of information systems. As fundamental skills, the student must be able to: Define how information systems should be integrated into the organization's strategy. Establish how these should be structured within the organization. How to define a global information management process.

  • The teaching methodology includes the expository method (TME1) to present the necessary contents, the demonstrative (TME2) to illustrate its application to practical cases and the active (TME3) for solving exercises in the classroom, with and without recourse to the computer. The assessment of knowledge is made by continuous assessment or written test of the final exam. The continuous assessment includes two written tests with a weight of 22.5% each and a group work (45%). Attendance and active participation in classes will be an additional element of assessment with a weighting of 10%. Throughout the semester, Quizzes are made available after classes (about the given topic) or with a group of questions related to topics in the given subject as a way for students to assess their knowledge of the subjects already taught.

  • The program contents are described in the Regulation.
  • Develop technical-professional skills related to the course's CUs and acquire knowledge and skills in the face of the professional reality contact resulting from the internship. The Internship Report (ER), should describe the tasks developed during the internship period. The specific objectives are: - Application of theoretical and practical knowledge acquired during the academic training; - To facilitate the professional insertion of the future graduate in the labor market; - To rehearse practices adjusted to the needs of the labor market; - To evaluate the interest and profile of the trainee for the exercise of a profession and his/her availability for the execution of differentiated tasks, according to the areas concerned; - Strengthening the IES with the partners of the labor market.

  • This curricular unit aims to provide students with a theoretical and practical framework fundamental to the understanding of human behavior from a psychological and social point of view in an organization. It is also intended to analyze and interpret the various techniques for approaching human behavior, in order to promote the ability to understand the different realities and, consequently, understand the practices leading to the improvement of contexts.

  • Priority is given to the use of the expository method and active methodologies in situations in which it is intended to involve students, through their participation, in the themes addressed. Curriculum evaluation will be carried out through a written test and a practical work with oral presentation, in accordance with the timetable and syllabus of the CU.
