- Studio-based, comprising theoretical, practical and integrated theoretical-practical sessions. Continuous supervision is provided through tutorials, small-group sessions, critiques, interim presentations and plenary discussions. The teaching methodologies include: Lectures on design concepts Observation, recording and analysis exercises, undertaken both in class and independently Studio sessions for experimentation Workshops exploring architectural ideas through drawing, representation and model-making Study visits to buildings, urban spaces, exhibitions or relevant cultural institutions Guest sessions, interim critiques and public presentations Coordination with the course units taught during the semester, particularly through shared exercises or themes Sketchbook Assessment is continuous and combines qualitative and quantitative criteria, addressing both the process and the outcomes achieved. The final grade results from the weighted assessment of the exercises and participation.

- Porject I it is students' first approach to architectural design practice. Introduces students to critical observation of built and lived space, to reading of relationships between body, place, form, materiality, light and movement, and to design of small-scale architectural interventions. Organised as a studio-based, promotes experimental and reflective learning grounded in articulation of different tools, including sketching, freehand drawing, technical drawing, photography/image-making, model-making, collage, spatial modelling and oral and written expression. The design process is understood as a tool for research, experimentation and communication, progressively fostering autonomy, rigour and critical thinking. Also serves as a space for synthesis during the first semester, establishing operational links with the remaining course units. The integration of observation, representation, construction and spatial experience is a structuring dimension of initial architectural education.
