- This UC follows the UC Representation Drawing I. It aims to: - The graphic description of real models that aims at their visual recognition through artistic drawing methodologies and the mastery of the respective technical vocabulary. - Deepen and explore procedural skills (grids, references, scales) and techniques (media and supports) in the field of drawing - Understand and explore graphic languages with an abstract (vs descriptive) scope: distinguishing visual-iconic elements from pictorial-plastic elements. - Develop skills that enhance continuous learning and autonomous management of individual work.T
- - Direct observation exercises that require the graphical exploration of the drawing's own media for a mimetic representation of the models - Exercises of indirect observation with reproduction of photographic images and / paintings through reference grids and enlargement or reduction criteria, with graphic exploration of the drawing's own media - Exercises to explore methods of creating abstract images: drippings, splash, frottage, watery, etc. - Personal Project: Graphic Diary (2 drawings per week) - (Self-) critical discussion exercises on the work done in each class.
- 10%. Avaliação contínua: pontualidade, participação e assiduidade (75%) cujo incumprimento obriga ao exame.- 70% Avaliação periódica (2 momentos: 30% - 1ª avaliação periódica; 40% - 2ª avaliação periódica);

- This curricular unit aims to understand and deepen the basic concepts considered fundamental in a process of confident mastery of the notions to be discovered, constructed, internalized and applied. The themes will be explored from a problem-solving perspective, considering this as a process from which students have the possibility of relating mathematics to the world around them and, on the other hand, exploring and analysing situations with meaning within mathematics itself. Therefore, the concepts will be approached in a way that includes numerous and varied experiences of solving problems and using diverse materials.

- Innovative methodologies supporting the teaching-learning process favour an active, participatory, and student-centred approach, linking theoretical knowledge with application in a diagnostic context. Learning based on clinical and anatomic pathology cases develops diagnostic reasoning, analytical skills, critical interpretation, and anatomic-clinical correlation. The use of microscopic images, anatomic pathology reports, multimedia resources, simulations, and guided case discussions supports the understanding of morphological changes in different organs and systems. The analysis of examples of technical laboratory errors reinforces the quality of procedures and the proper interpretation of microscopic findings. These methodologies encourage autonomy, critical thinking, integration with Physiopathology, and preparation for professional practice in Anatomic Pathology.
- Mandatory
- Identify and characterize the different pathologies in the different organs / tissues; Identify microscopically technical errors made during the laboratory techniques; Understand the role of Pathology as a medical specialty in the diagnosis and definition of the therapeutic strategy of patients; Be able to interpret correctly and critically the information contained in anatomic pathology reports and recognize the need to establish an anatomical-clinical correlation. Integrate the general concepts of Pathology in pivotal clinical models of human disease. To compare the contents of this course with the knowledge acquired in Pathophysiology.
- Cardiovascular system pathology. Respiratory system pathology. Digestive tract pathology. Pathology of liver and principal and accessory bile duct. Pathology of endocrine and exocrine pancreatic and salivary glands. Pathology of the urinary tract. Pathology of skin.

- Pathological anatomy is a discipline that combines fundamental science and clinical practice. The information gained during the study of morphological changes in organs, tissues and cells induced by pathological processes and human diseases serves as a basic knowledge for further development of the essential diagnostic and treatment skills. In this course we study the general conditions (associated with pathological processes) and systemic, nosological (associated with diseases) and pathological anatomy.

- During oral and visual presentations, students are encouraged to think critically and acquire communicative and argumentative skills about some of the origins, influences, theories and creative processes of text as a visual form.The knowledge acquired is put into practice by solving problems (Hands on/problem-based learning) set by the teacher, experimenting with typographic, compositional and providing narrative solutions, while at the same time promoting the development of soft skills such as autonomy, organization, thinking and analytical, critical and argumentative discourse in the artistic world. Then, students will embarq on a individual project-based learning, putting into practice their artistic and methodological autonomy, in which the student identifies their artistic influences, adopts creative processes which are specific to a given project that links text and image.
- Mandatory
