  • Given the specific nature of the Curricular Unit (internship), the activities developed in the clinical context – “on Job” training – will allow supervised reflection in action, a strategy that, according to the “New School” currents, facilitates the acquisition of knowledge, attitudes and values fundamental to any profession that, during training, requires “immersion in practice”, namely Nursing.

  • The student is expected to: Show understanding for the user/family experiencing a mental illness situation, in the context of their life story; Mobilize theoretical and theoretical-practical knowledge inherent to Mental and Psychiatric Health (MPH) nursing interventions at the various levels of prevention; Perform diagnostic evaluation procedures, planning, prescription of therapeutic interventions and evaluation in the intervention with the person/family; Provide nursing care autonomously, as part of the multi and interdisciplinary team; Mobilize relational and assertive communication skills with the client and family/significant person; Respect human rights and ethical principles in the relationship with clients; Act as a resource for the person, family and community in optimizing mental health; Analyze decision-making and the role of nurses in MPH; Reflect on the knowledge and awareness of yourself as a person and a nursing student.
  • Provide nursing care autonomously, as an element inserted in the multi and interdisciplinary team, to the client/family experiencing a situation of mental illness, in the context of their life history; Mobilization of theoretical and theoretical-practical knowledge inherent to MPH nursing interventions at the various levels of prevention; Mobilization of relational skills and assertive communication with the client and family/significant person; Reflection on knowledge and self-awareness as a person and nursing student.
  • A metodologia de avaliação tem a ver com os estudantes serem capazes de teorizarem a prática do dia-a-dia e de utilizarem os conhecimentos. Perspetivou-se uma metodologia baseada na prática clínica completando com trabalho escrito que irão dar visibilidade no portefólio.

    O ensino clínico tem início em 03/06/2024 e termino a 27/07/2024, com uma duração de 250 Horas.

    Os instrumentos de avaliação a utilizar serão: 

    • Ficha de Avaliação do desempemho do estudante em ensino clínico - Orientador Externo (OE)
    • Análise da Interação (AI) - (duas: uma na 2ª Semana e outra 6ª Semana)
    • Estudo de caso (EC)
    • Atividade de Âmbito Terapêutico (AAT)
    • Ficha Docente - Orientador Interno (OI).

    A classificação final do ensino clínico é obtida mediante a seguinte fórmula: OE (60%)+AI (10%)+EC (15%)+AAT (5%)+OI (10%)= 100%. Para obter sucesso na UC o estudante não poderá ter classificação inferior a 9,5 valores em qualquer das três componentes que a integram.

  • With the Clinical Teaching of Mental and Psychiatric Health Nursing it is intended that the student has the possibility to develop the skills already acquired during the course, and that he can also acquire new skills in the scope of Mental Health and Psychiatric Nursing, to be a responsible professional in the future, able to provide the person with high quality care. Taking into account the multiple determinants of mental health, interventions with the client/family/significant person and with the community in a holistic perspective are desired. With the Clinical Teaching of Mental and Psychiatric Health Nursing, it is intended to enable the student to develop skills at: i) personal, cultural, social and ethical, ii) scientific and technical and, (iii) instrumental. Develop skills within the therapeutic relationship and health care / mental illness to the user, family, groups and community.

  • This Curricular Unit adopts a transdisciplinary approach in which the syllabus articulates contributions from artistic studies, philosophy, and social sciences. The oral presentation is supported by the analysis and commentary of artistic images and text excerpts and may use other audiovisual materials, such as film excerpts, videos, or interviews. Whenever possible, the theoretical exposition is articulated with the participation of the students through the valorisation and welcoming of questions, the opening of space for debates, flipped classroom, accompanied writing exercises during the classroom, study visit reports and the scheduling of individual presentations by the master's students.

  • This Curricular Unit aims to encourage critical thinking about the role of artistic images vis-à-vis the omnipresence of images in the contemporary world, providing analytical and critical tools that help the master's student to: Generically understand how visual representations participate in subjectivation processes (self-image, volitions and behaviors) in thecontext of our mimetic condition (articulating concepts such as mimetic unconscious, imitation, identification and contagion). Differentiate the artistic image from other visual representations regarding its impact on subjectivation processes (estrangement of theworld and disidentification). Problematize the emancipatory and critical potential of artistic images in consumer society (the artistic image as pharmakon). Apply the conceptual bases mentioned above in the analysis of artistic images in the context of debates, oral presentations and writing ofan article about case studies.

    O exame de recurso será dividido em duas partes: a submissão de todos os trabalhos realizados ao longo do semestre, que contará 50%, e a apresentação e defesa oral dos mesmos, que também terá um peso de 50%.

     

    This UC follows a continuous, in-person assessment method.

    Assessment Weighting:

    10% - Attendance, punctuality, and class participation (regular students: 75% mandatory class attendance; working students: 30% mandatory attendance).

    50% Practical work developed in the classroom (oral presentations, debates, theoretical and practical application exercises, critical summaries of works, films, or texts)

    20% Study visit report prepared in class.

    20% Critical essay on a topic, text, or film.

     

    Resit Exam:

    The resit exam will be divided into two parts: the submission of all work completed throughout the semester, which will count for 50%, and the oral presentation and defence of the work, which will also count for 50%.

  • The curricular unit's teaching and learning methodologies were designed in accordance with the institution's pedagogical model and the unit's specific objectives. In addition to the theoretical approach, through the exposition of content in class, with the aid of audiovisual materials, bibliography and access to support materials previously prepared by the lecturer (bibliography, audiovisual material, suggested events), all subjects are taught with the encouragement of critical dialogue, in the form of debates, visits to exhibitions and artists' studios and through the contribution of guests.

To contextualize art theory in the history of art in conjunction with ideas and concepts from other areas of knowledge such as sociology, anthropology, politics and psychology; . To identify and distinguish between the fundamental theoretical frameworks that have molded the practice and theory of contemporary art from the perspective of a visual artist. Specific objectives: . To recognize the inherent theoretical problems of an aesthetic object; . Identify key aesthetic currents of the 20th and 21st centuries; . Interpret fundamental texts of art theory and relate them to artistic practices; . Examine and relate students' studio practice to art theory; . Develop well-informed aesthetic positions that reject, develop or support important theoretical issues related to art theory; . Debate and formulate theoretical discussions in groups and among peers.
  • This CU continues Art Theory I. The contents are structured by bringing together the theories that underpinned the development of the visual arts during the 20th and 21st centuries and some of the thematic guidelines of contemporary art based on the writings of artists, texts by critics, philosophers, politicians and literary figures. Module 1 Materiality VS Immateriality: - Critique of the medium and the post-medium condition; -Rosalind Krauss and Yves-Alain Bois  Formlessness; - Didi-Huberman - Memory and Materiality - The idea of Materiality in Giuliana Bruno.   Module 2. Authorship Vs Participation: - Roland Barthes and the death of the author; - Gilles Deleuze and the Anti-Oedipus; - Claire Bishop and the concept of Participation.   Module 3. Sustainability, Community and Activism. - Tim Ingold, Subsistence, Housing and Skill; - Jacques Rancière and the Politics of the Sensible; - Guerrilla Girls and Judith Butler, Gender activism; - Climate activism, positions and contradictions.
  • A avaliação é realizada combinando elementos de avaliação contínua (20%) e avaliação final (80%).
    A avaliação contínua compreende assiduidade (5%) e participação (15%) nas aulas.
    A avaliação final combina dois elementos:
    A) uma comunicação oral de 15 minutos partir de um tema proposto e formato de conferência, que inclui debate com colegas (25%);

    B) recensão crítica de um texto à escolha de acordo com os conteúdos lecionados (25%);
    C) ensaio escrito a partir de um tema previamente proposto, relacionado com as propostas dos conteúdos da UC, e desenvolvendo criticamente as questões abordadas (30%).
    São avaliadas as competências de escrita e utilização das referências transmitidas para a elaboração de todos os exercícios e trabalhos escritos. São avaliadas as competências de leitura e de interpretação do lido, pensamento crítico, organização de fontes e apresentação de diálogo com as leituras realizadas, articulação de conteúdos, estruturação do tema escolhido, e pertinência da integração dos temas trabalhados no contexto científico específico da área.
    As entregas são feitas por moodle de acordo com o calendário estabelecido para a unidade curricular (integrada no calendário letivo), definido entre a docente e os estudantes no início do respetivo semestre.
    De acordo com o Regulamento de Avaliação da IES, é obrigatório que os estudantes cumpram com um requisito de presença mínima nas aulas para aprovação na unidade curricular. A falta de cumprimento desta exigência resulta na necessidade de prestação de exame.


    O exame de recurso é constituído pela realização de uma recensão crítica a um texto incluído nos conteúdos programáticos (50%) e uma prova oral.


    É esperado dos estudantes uma atitude de integridade académica relativamente às práticas de citação e no uso adequado de IA.

  • The Leadership, Team Management and Intrapreneuship curricular unit seeks to provide students with knowledge and skills to understand what it is to be a leader, applying the concept that postulates that leadership applies to all levels of activity, from business leadership to team leadership. Students will grasp the difference between being a leader and being a manager, so that they are prepared to face situations that require one or another type of skills, or both. Students will also learn the basics of intrapreneurship, entrepreneurship within companies, what characteristics are needed to successfully develop this type of activity.
