  • Students should have the knowledge to identify and characterize the basic concepts in the field of Safety, Hygiene and Health at Work and, in particular, in the area of Psychosocial Risks, in order to manage work relationships, based on preventive actions with with a view to maintaining the employee's quality of life. Specific objectives are: LG1: The definition of the basic concepts associated with Safety, Hygiene and Health at Work and the description of the main risks and risk assessment methods, based on the legal compliance of work contexts, LG2: Identification of safety protection and signaling equipment, LG3: The identification, characterization and assessment of the main psychosocial risks at work LG4: Identification of general and specific protection measures, taking into account the importance of the human factor in this context.

  • The teaching methodology includes the expository method (TM1) to present the contents, the demonstrative method (TM2) to illustrate its application to practical cases and the active method (TM3) to solve classroom exercises, with the use of a computer. The assessment is made by continuous assessment or written exam. The continuous assessment consists of two written tests with a weight of 30% each and a group work (40%).

  • The Big Data Storage course aims primarily to introduce students to the technologies, models, and practices used for storing and managing large volumes of data. In a context where the volume of generated information is constantly growing, it is essential to understand solutions that ensure scalability, fault tolerance, data distribution, and efficient access to information. This course focuses specifically on non-relational databases, distributed systems, and technologies such as MongoDB, enabling students to acquire practical skills in the design, maintenance, and utilization of data repositories tailored for Big Data scenarios.

  • What is intended is the teaching of an imperative programming language that makes students aware so that they can reason and solve problems regardless of the programming language they intend to use. The tools used provide the student with an understanding of how to get started in any programming language. Its usefulness for the course is related to the fact that any problem faced by a computer engineer (be it his specialization in hardware or software) has, directly or indirectly, the logic of the programming involved.

  • Oral presentation of the program contents, using the Socratic method, in dialogue with students, in a participatory model, where students are encouraged to delve deeper into topics of greatest interest, using the analysis of the most significant jurisprudence, encouraging the formulation of questions, as well as exercising the knowledge learned. Students will be assessed, in continuous assessment, through two tests, with a weight of 50% and by carrying out oral presentations in the classroom, also with a weight of 50%. Students can also be assessed through final exams (written and, if necessary, oral).
