- This CU aims to provide the necessary skills to understand the fundamental principles that guide Business Administration and Economics, as platform for this BsC. This goal will be achieved starting, in theoretical classes, by giving the fundamental notions that allow to understand these sciences (Expositional Methodology and Self-study Methodology). Afterwards, in practical classes, students are invited to develop team assignments that allow them to exercise their theoretical knowledge and to present and discuss conclusions (Participative Methodology and Active Methodology). Knowledge acquisition is measured by frequency. Skills development is measured by group resolution, presentation and discussion of a case. Continuous evaluation: Frequency: 50%; Group work: 50%. Issues: Students with a final grade equal to or greater than 10 are approved; Those who were unsuccessful in continuous evaluation undergo the examination.

- In this course, the Team-based Learning (TBL) methodology is used, with tasks being carried out in small groups, allowing the development of analytical skills and the application of theoretical concepts. Study visits to clinical services in the area of ¿¿the respective module should be promoted. The course is divided into 3 independent modules (Radiology, Radiotherapy, and Nuclear Medicine). In each module, the student is subject to an assessment instrument (written test or assignment/report, with oral presentation), with a minimum grade of 9.5 points. The final grade for the course corresponds to the weighted average of the grades of the 3 modules. Passing the course can also be obtained through a final written exam.

- Understand the basics of Medical Imaging and Radiotherapy. Learn the main theoretical and practical foundations of the procedures adopted in Medical Imaging and Radiotherapy Know the international and national bodies that regulate medical activity using ionizing radiation. Identify the basic principles in radiological protection Understand the management of a Radiology (RD), a Nuclear Medicine (NM), and a Radiotherapy (RT) Departments. Understand the principles of Quality Assurance. Understand the different purposes of medical imaging and RT. Demonstrate the articulation between Medical Imaging modalities, RT, and other therapeutic modalities in oncological disease. Distinguish and understand the chain of procedures performed in the areas of RD, RT and NM. Understanding the path of the patient in a RT, RD and NM Departments. Distinguish the various treatment volumes used for RT planning.

- The Curricular Unit of Integration to Medical Imaging and Radiotherapy II continues to establish students' contact with the core areas of the Degree - Radiology, Radiotherapy and Nuclear Medicine and with the respective professions. This CU provides continuity with the discipline of Integration to MIR I, with regard to the presentation of the basic principles and concepts that govern these areas of health technologies, which will later be interconnected with the programmatic contents of the various specific CUs in the nuclear scientific area . This UC is also organized into 3 modules (Nuclear Medicine, Radiotherapy and Radiology). Bridging the content taught in the first semester, this UC presents the role of Radiology, Radiotherapy and Nuclear Medicine Technicians and the procedures carried out by these professionals, as well as the fundamental principles and concepts in the application of ionizing radiation for diagnosis and for the treatment of various pathologies.

A componente Teórica consta de duas frequências escritas e é relativa aos conteúdos teóricos. A classificação mínima em cada frequência é de 8 valores. A componente prática consta de 2 momentos de avaliação práticos realizados durante as aulas laboratoriais, A classificação mínima de cada momento é de 8 valores. A classificação final é calculada a partir da seguinte fórmula: CF = 0,50 T + 0,50 PL. A classificação de todos os instrumentos de avaliação é expressa numa escala de 0 a 20 valores, sendo que o valor ponderado das classificações obtidas tem de ser igual ou superior a 9,5 valores.

- The General Biochemistry course will focus on the structure and function of biomolecules and on the mechanisms involved in the functioning and regulation of the metabolic pathways that are essential for functional homeostasis. The function of the main enzymes involved in the metabolic pathways and their role as a regulatory mechanism and potential therapeutic or diagnostic targets are also transmitted. Through laboratory practice, the student will not only perform non-invasive techniques, such as spectrophotometry, potentiometry, but also understand the implications of analytical and non-analytical errors.

- The classes are theoretical-practical, the theoretical concepts are presented and then complemented with practical examples. Orientations are given for students' study and learning. For each topic, it is presented a set of exercises of application of the theoretical concepts to concrete problems for students to solve in class and the final resolution is presented. The evaluation can be continuous or through final examination. Continuous valuation includes 1 tests (50%) and a report (40%) totaling 90% of the final grade, and 10% result of the commitment and participation shown during the semester. A student in a Normal regime is only able to be evaluated in continuous evaluation if present in at least 75% of the total classes. Students in the Worker-Student regime have the same valuation instruments except in the compulsory attendance in class.

Determine the sample size with a predefined margin of precision, in the Confidence interval of parameters; C. Formulate the statistical hypotheses; D. - This course will familiarize students with the basics of statistical thinking, language, and techniques. Students should be able to recognize the usefulness and wide application of these methodologies to various contexts, particularly in their subject areas. It is intended that students develop data analysis capabilities as well as acquire fundamental knowledge of probability theory and random variables. It is intended that students develop their thinking skills, helping them to address and solve real practical problems in their area of study or in other contexts.
