  • Expository, demonstrative, participatory and problem solving. The curricular unit can be completed through continuous assessment or final assessment. The final classification (CF) of the curricular unit through continuous assessment is obtained from the classifications obtained in the written component (T) and in the theoretical-practical component (TP). The written component consists of two written frequencies and is related to theoretical contents. The minimum rating for each frequency is 8 points. The theoretical-practical component consists of 2 assessment moments carried out during practical classes, which must be equal to or greater than 8 points. The final classification is calculated using the following formula: CF = 0.50 T + 0.50 TP. The classification of all assessment instruments is expressed on a scale of 0 to 20 points, and the weighted value of the classifications obtained in each of the components (T and TP) and final CU must be equal to or greater than 9.5 values.

  • Describe the importance of the knowledge of Radiobiology to the Radiology Technician. Describe the main types of radiation for diagnostic purposes (Radiology and Nuclear Medicine), with therapeutic purpose (Radiotherapy), its effects on tissues and Clinical Radiobiology. Describe the processes of interaction of radiation with the cell and its pathology, its effect on living tissues and how they respond to different types of radiation, doses and dose rates for use in clinical practice.

  • The CU of Radiobiology and Oncology intends that students obtain the necessary knowledge to understand the biological and chemical processes of cellular organisms in response to exposure to ionizing radiation; Furthermore, it is intended to clarify the risks and biological effects of ionizing radiation, both from a deleterious point of view, but also in relation to the use of ionizing radiation in (radio)therapeutic procedures.

  •   To know the general principles of osteopathic manipulative techniques; Acquire knowledge to be used in various fields of diagnosis and osteopathic treatment to be applied in other curricular units and clinical practice; Develop and implement the START concept applied to the lower limb and pelvic region; Understand the key variables that characterize each of the manipulative techniques; Identify, interpret, describe and treat disorders resulting from the perversion of the relationship between structure and function; Apply harmonic and joint techniques; Distinguish the low-speed techniques and high amplitude pulse of high speed techniques; Recognize that the harmonic techniques, using rhythmic movements promote the release of muscular structures, tendons, joint capsules and improve range of motion; Recognize that the joint mobilization techniques are used to improve joint mobility or to decrease joint pain.

  • As osteopathy is an essentially manipulative clinical practice (use of manual techniques and practices to recover body structure and / or optimize internal functions), this UC aims to provide these fundamental therapeutic tools. It also intends to develop the interpretation skills of homeostasis imbalances using the analysis and observation of the various dimensions of body structure in order to establish a differential diagnosis.

  • This Curricular Unit aims to provide students with knowledge related to the management and production of tourist events. It is intended that students deepen their knowledge about the different phases of the organization of events and the necessary resources for their design. At the end of the semester, the student must be able to:   Organize and plan different types of events; Identify the technical, human and equipment resources needed for the event; Understand the impotence of communication and promotion of events; Apply the specific protocol rules for each event; Develop the event budget.
  • 1.       To plan the stages that make up the event, from negotiation to realization, 2.       To manage efficiently the teams and resources needed to carry out each event; 3.       To define the communication and marketing tools, according to the characteristics of the event; 4.       To adapt the rules of etiquette and protocol to the specifics of each event; 5.       To plan tourist entertainment strategies adapted to the characteristics of the event; 6.       To plan the financial viability of the event.

  • The syllabus is conveyed through a blend of expository and active pedagogical strategies. Classes commence with audiovisual presentations and PowerPoint slides, designed to introduce new concepts, tools, and techniques, ranging from basic navigation in a 3D environment to more complex aspects such as texturing and rendering. Each theoretical topic is followed by the completion of practical exercises and small projects. The structuring of these exercises is devised in such a way that students apply the acquired knowledge immediately. Students are encouraged to explore and experiment, thereby solidifying their practical understanding of the topics discussed and gaining essential skills for their professional development. Continuous monitoring of student performance allows for the provision of individual guidance and constructive feedback throughout the semester.   • This course aims to introduce students to the technical domain of Blender 3D software, equipping them with essential knowledge and skills to initiate, refine, and engage in professional practice in the development of three-dimensional projects. The objective is for students to be capable of formulating creative projects through three-dimensional representation, representing objects in 3D, applying technical terminology, utilizing 3D modeling tools, and adopting work methodologies appropriate for various fields of three-dimensional intervention. Furthermore, the course aspires to promote the development and exploration of specific skills in areas such as modeling, material manipulation, lighting, texturing, and rendering in three-dimensional environments.

    Exame de Recurso:

    O exame de recurso será dividido em duas partes: um exame prático que contará 50% e a apresentação de todos os trabalhos realizados ao longo do semestre, que também terá um peso de 50%.

    In accordance with the Assessment Regulations of the Higher Education Institution, it is mandatory for students to meet a minimum attendance requirement for passing the course unit. Failure to comply with this requirement will necessitate taking an examination.

    Resit Exam: The resit exam will be divided into two parts: a practical exam, which will count for 50%, and the presentation of all work completed throughout the semester, which will also carry a weight of 50%.
