  • The objectives are concretized in the syllabus of the different chapters. In addition to  resenting the syllabus of the course using diverse resources, we seek to develop the  ability to interpret the situations presented, analysis, decision making, calculation methodologies and deductive reasoning. The concepts covered in each chapter through varied strategies provide systematic recourse to real, applied and contextualized circuits and systems. This teaching-learning environment translates into greater motivation and more sustained learning, as it makes it possible to convey the importance of fundamental analogue electronics to the course. Real demonstrations and simulation environments are carried out, as well as practical work to promote student autonomy.

  • The teaching methodology employed focuses on an expository and demonstrative approach to the programmatic content to be taught. Student participation and a problem-solving approach based on clinical cases will be encouraged, particularly in the practical component of the course. Students may complete the course through continuous assessment or a final assessment. The course is divided into 2 independent modules (Radiology, 50%, and Nuclear Medicine, 50%), with a theoretical (50%) and practical (50%) component in both modules. Each component of each module has one assessment, with a minimum passing grade of 9.5 points.
  • Mandatory

  • In this curricular unit, the Team-based learning (TBL) methodology is used, with tasks carried out in small groups, allowing the development of the ability to analyze and apply theoretical concepts. In practical classes, the student has prior access to the activities that will be carried out in each class session, which allows for prior reading and preparation. Class session plans are accompanied by a set of questions, to ensure individual preparation, and later discussion of procedures and results.
  • Mandatory
  • To enable students for good systemic functioning of the body, the relationship between of the viscera, nervous system and structure, in the childhood. Acquire knowledge needed for the initial diagnosis of acute and chronic diseases common in pediatrics. Transmit the osteopathic approach to common medical condition, according to its pathophysiology. Relate the concepts of visceral cranium approach to the osteopathic intervention in children. Establish the diagnosis and make treatment of dysfunctions. Enhance the effectiveness of osteopathic treatment on different dysfunctions. Normalize the body's functions in children. Know select the techniques / strategies that are best suited to each dysfunction / disease and for each individual.
  • Osteopathy in the baby and child. Methodology of osteopathic evaluation in baby / child. Indications and contraindications of Osteopathy in pregnant, children's and baby. Clinical management of different pathologies and osteopathic treatment. Approach of osteopathic techniques.

  • Pediatric osteopathy is an area of intervention of structural osteopathy of high relevance, and is still requested in pregnancy as after childbirth. This relevance is based on the positioning that the baby can adopt and suffer from various pressures that affect the mobility and correct functioning of its structures. This CU is intended for teaching both theoretically and/or practically of manual pediatric osteopathy intervention techniques, in clinical context, while allowing to deepen knowledge for different manual techniques in order to make your intervention more effective and adapted to the various circumstances and situations requested.
